Inspiration Challenge 21
Its Friday again..…{YAY} the end of the week and Inkspiration challenge time again. I just wanted to say sorry to everyone that I have not uploaded many cards over the past three weeks, I have been a busy little chicken but I am happy to report I did get some stamping time in this week and have taken photos today so next week I will be back on track.
This week is a inspiration challenge….. when I first looked at the image, I straight away thought pretty, vintage and Roses, this is one of the easier inspiration challenges that Keesh has set and I can see lots of pretty cards being make this week. If you have never played along….go on… its fun, just go to Kirsty’s site for all the details and add your creation to Mr. Linky so we can check them all out.
Here is what I came up with, lots of stamping and no Pattern Papers! I have just used En Français Background stamp and the Flourish from Vintage Vogue on all three stamped layers, including a little En Français over the Rose layer. On the Brown layer I have added texture by sponging Close to Cocoa Ink over Close to Cocoa Cardstock then stamped the images in Chocolate Chip Ink. For the Pink layer I have clear embossed the images on Regal Rose Cardstock, sponged the edges in Regal Rose Ink then I did a little Emboss Resist by applying White Craft Ink over the Cardstock and wiped off the excess ink. I am really happy with the effect it has created.
I added this shot to try and show you the stamping detail over the Rose and also with the background when I stamp the En Français I have only stamped parts of the image, by having the stamp face up and placing the Cardstock on the stamp {which is the opposite way to how we normally stamp} I only rub parts of Cardstock which creates the “empty” sections were I have then stamped with the Flourish image….. get me???? Also on the Pink background when I embossed I did not worry about wiping away the excess embossing powder as I wanted that to stay because it added to the background effect.
Inside…. as you can tell mine is a Mother’s Day card because it felt like it had a Mother’s Day feel.
Stampin’ Up! Materials:

Ink: VersaMark, White Craft, Choc Chip, Close to Cocoa and Regal Rose
Paper: Very Vanilla, Choc Chip and Regal Rose

Inkspiration Colour Challenge 21
I am a little late sorry everyone, I have had a really busy day /week and I even rang Makeesha this afternoon and said I am not going to get it posted, but due to a small miracle I am here…. and so is my card. This week we have a colour combo and it is bold…. but fun colours…..
I got to use one of my new stamp sets I got for my Birthday, LOVE new stamps. I must say Makeesha was a bit tough with this combo….I never work so bright! I guess that’s what good about a stamping challenge.
Inside…. how cute does it look with the little floating away hot air balloon….

Inkspirations Sketch Challenge 21
Its Friday again, this is my second post of the day….{crazy I know}….and time from another Inkspiration sketch Challenge, I must say Makeesha has out done herself with this sketch, I really love it and I know I will be using it again.
Here is her Sketch and I suggest making time to sit down and play along this week…..
This card is going to my bestie, Elise who is coming to Sydney from Brisbane this weekend for my birthday and to catch up with friends, last week we had one of our long chats on the phone…she has been single for a while {not sure why she is really beautiful but maybe a little too pickie} ….anyway….. she made a comment that she just wanted to find a “Stud”….. being the great friend that I am….. I whipped this up…not sure this is what she was hoping for but she will get a laugh.
Last week I did not do much stamping on my Inkspiration Challenge DT card, but I have made up for that this week….LOTS of stamping and so much fun to just get messy. I have stamped the Sanded background over Boarding Blue Cardstock in a mix of VersaMark and Choc Chip ink, I have then stamped Medallion {from the current Mini} in VersaMark and clear embossed the lot. I then got to the good part…. brayering Choc Chip ink over the surface. I just love the effect it has created. I have stitched the edges and roughened them up. I did cheat a little and moved the greeting down as you can tell from the sketch…. I hope that’s ok
Inside…. I say it all the time but I love doing inside my cards.
All Materials from Stampin’ Up!.
Stamps: Medallion, Wanted and Sanded
Ink: VersaMark, Choc Chip and Boarding Blue
Paper: Very Vanilla, Choc Chip and Boarding Blue
Other: Largest Circle Punch from Mini, Brayer, Vintage Brads and Clear Embossing Powder

I did not think I was ever going to get this posted, I have had so many “technical difficulties” over the weekend with my computer then camera…. that just had to happen at the same time…grrrr…. at least it looks like it is all fixed up and it should be fine now thanks to a little “geek” help. Last week I found a challenge/stamping site called “embellish” I know they have been around for a while and I have seen there badge on peoples blogs but I had not been to the site myself….. Well…. I wish I had stopped by sooner! what a talented bunch over there, very inspiring and I love the challenges they set. I felt so inspired I played along straight away, the challenge was to create a “party” inspired project that used Kraft, Red, White and Black {what a yummy colour combo}.
Well I don’t “party” much because….well……I am really not that hip n happen’ {lol} but I was already excited because the second trailer for “Sex in the City 2” was released that day….and its GOOD! {yes that’s how un-hip I am…. I get excited over movie trailers lol…. I blame years of working in the film industry for that} My sister and I both loved the first “Sex in the City” Film and went together on the first day of release with the full Gold Class experience. My Sister works full time in a very demanding Marketing role and has 2 little girls so going to the movies together without the kids is VERY VERY rare, I made her a save the date/invite for us to go see the film on the release day.
I did cheat a little and added green to the olive in the Martini…. It is my understanding a good Martini needs an olive so I just had to add that little bit of green {lol}
The Martini’s are a little bit of a joke between her and I from the first film, getting in the spirit we {who both never really drink} ordered Martini’s each to take in to the Cinema because we were at Gold Class….Anyway they were STRONG I had a little sip and I was done…. I gave her mine, she had both and then found the film even more enjoyable because well she was a little drunk. When I gave her the invite I told her the only cocktails get was getting this time were inside the card {lol}

Inspiration Challenge 20
Its Friday again and I can honestly say what a week! I have been fighting a cold all week but it got the better of me today and I feel shocking….so I am keeping this short. Makeesha came up with a good challenge this week….
Well this is what I came up…. Not sure if I like this one but I was given a challenge earlier in the week to make a “bad” card so Melanie…. here you go I have completed your challenge…. {lol} I have used the NEW In Colour Soft Suede and good old Sahara Sand, I have also used Autumn Traditions Printed Papers from the Autumn Winter Mini Catalogue, I did not use many stamps on this card which is rare for me I have cut the “leaf” from the Printed Papers then applied Crystal effects over the top to make it pop a little.
Inside the card…. lots of layers like the front but I left room for me to write my message.
All Materials from Stampin’ Up!.
Stamps: Fresh Cuts and Sanded

A Punchy Easter Basket
Happy Easter Saturday! YAY it’s the last day of Daylight Savings for us in Sydney and a few other States of Australia, I am not a fan of Daylight Saving because I don’t know how to change the {wait…….. should I be admitting this…..} time on the clock in my car so during Daylight Savings I need to think each time I look at the clock and add an hour…. {I Sooooooo should not of shared that….lol} I will admit I kind of like when we start Daylight Savings I feel like I achieve more each day and its always nice walking out of work in Daylight but as the cold weather rolls in I do like to go back to normal and not needing to think when I read the time in my car…..
With Easter tomorrow I made my little niece Bailey an Easter Basket for her to leave out for the Easter Bunny, Mum/Grandma made one for my other niece Ebony she is not showing her basket her on my blog because she wants to put it on her blog….Yes my cute little Mum has a Blog…. is she very talented in Papercraft…. she gets it from me {lol} but as she would say “I do simple” not like me apparently. As soon as I get her permission to share her blog address I will. She is getting ready to join Stampin’ Up! in the coming months and wants to get her blog up so she can hit the ground running….. It has only taken 3 years to get to this point…. And I am not 100% she will join under me…. She has had some very tempting offers from some of my Demo Friends….. You know who you are……..Sharon {lol}
Gee I can talk today…. I think its being over tried from my “hard” day at work. Onto my project….
This was a hit with Little Miss Bailey she loved what I made her, I think it was the butterflies taking flight that got her. I have used lots of Stampin’ Up! Punches on this {I think I was channelling Claire from SU! Demo Support… the punch queen} The Easter Eggs are made using the Wide Oval Punch, the Butterfly Punch and a little twisted wire made the butterflies which are “totally cool” as Bailey said and I also used the Boho Flower Punch to make some flower embellishments on the side that you can’t really see in the photo. I love the speed and ease of punches plus many of the Stampin‘ Up! Punches can be used in lots of different ways so the are a wise investment {well that’s what I tell myself}. LOTS of glitter was used both Dazzling Diamonds and Chucky Glitter…..
Stampin’ Up Materials Used:
A Good Egg Stamp Set, Close to Cocoa Ink, Butterfly Punch, Wide Oval Punch, Boho Flower Punch, Chunky Glitter, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Two Way Glue, Sticky Strip and Regal Rose Ribbon.
Inkspirations Colour Challenge 20
It’s Friday and time for a Inkspiration challenge, this week it is a colour challenge…..
Can I say I found this colour combo hard {thanks Keesh} but I realised once I had finished and was saving the photos I have used this same colour combo 4 times before… SO what was my problem this time around {lol} anyway I got it done, I have gone a little “cute” using the Cheeky Monkey from the {NEW} Fox and Friends set out of the Autumn Winter Mini and the balloons are from Time to Party. My trustily Stamp-A-Ma-Jig got a work out on this card….
Inside…. Very simple but cute {I think anyways} I have more Cheeky Monkeys floating away with balloons and a greeting. Totally cute and I just know the little guy that will be getting this as his Birthday card later in the year
All Materials from Stampin’ Up!.
Stamps: Fox & Friends, Time to Party, Big Bold Birthday and On Your Birthday
