I dont do birthdays not because I hate turning older its because of when my birthday day is at the start of Jan it is always the same every year. When I was a kid you got present less then everyone else ” you just had christmas so dont expect much”. That dosnt worry be that much but it was birthday parties I have never had one, everyone is always away. I came close one year my grandma baked two cakes invited over my cousions they came early ate cake then left before I got there. So I hate my birthday every year, untill this year my husband went to work as normal in morning ( great I was thinking he took off all these other days over xmas and new yr why not my birthday) but he surprised me He was back a hour later with present in hand and took me and my boys out for the day at a river bed where we had a wonderful lunch while the boys tried to learn how to skip stones.
So I hope you have fun birthday sounds like your girlfriends have big plans for you in the weekend.

Heya lovely……Happy, happy, happy Birthday!! Hope its not just a day, but a week/month/year full of lots of lovely moments and happy, joyous time with family and friends!! I remember 30….I celebrated with style and loved it!! 35….not so much and now 37 is just around the corner!!! Aghast!! Actually its not too bad, but I’m not making a big deal either. I’ll probably do something low key with my girlies and will def have a family thing as I have a twin brother too!! Do you know what its like to always have someone else share your spotlight on your birthday – ah, its ok actually, I love him to bits and somehow we’ll cope.

Last year, I knew I was going to have to organise my own gifts (it’s how my family rolls!! LOL) so I had fun and bought a Soda Stream from my Mr’s 5 & 7. I bought it, wrapped it, and hid it on hubby’s side of the bed, so at dinner time, they could go collect it and bring it to me to as a “Surprise”…. of course they were very happy that they clearly had such great taste in presents and have had a LOT of use from it themselves (…which was my plan because I really couldn’t think what else I “needed”! LOL)

Happy Birthday Teneale!!! Birthdays are not for getting older, they are a good excuse for having fun and partying Woohoo! Enjoy every moment!

My advice for your birthday every year – do something that is memorable for you! Birthday’s are special! Dont focus on how much older you are getting. Heck Im 35 and when my Mum turned 35 I thought she was ANCIENT! And so not cool! (I was 13).

The year I turned 29 was my first introduction to Stampin’ Up at the Rosehill Craft Fair where I attended a make and take where you (insert smiling Teneale) taught me how to fold a 30×30 DSP into a mini albulm thingy (v. technical). Two years later I am hooked on SU and still have my first make and take!!!

And two years later I am still faithfully following your blog for beautiful inspiration. See…29 is a fantastic age!

Happy Birthday Teneale!! I am reasonably new to paper crafting, and have only recently discovered the world of stamping blogs! A friend told me to visit Makeesha Byls blog (which I love), and from there I have discovered your blog!! You are truly inspiring to an amateur like me, and I really love how you stamp the inside of your cards, I have recently started doing that after seeing you do it! I have 2 small children and work 30 hrs a week, so unfortunately dont get too much time to craft (or blog surf!!), but when I do, I always check out your blog. Oh to be 29 again I had my 30th a number of years ago, but I haven’t reached the big 40 yet!
Congrats on becoming one of Keesh’s DT members, it is great to have your input, I love your work, you are very talented!!
I really like the cards in your “Simple Spirits” post. You mentioned the Clean & Simple blog which is very inspiring. There is another blog I love that would inspire you with the “less is more” approach (if you don’t know already). It was great seeing you in the latest CSP magazine.
I also love the colour combination you have used in this card, I have made something similar to this before, maybe you can remember where and when we made this?

I haven’t really been a huge fan of the stamp set until now! All I can say is WOW…It looks amazing in those colours! Having 3 daughters I love pretty girly colours like this!
