Inkspirations Challenge 35

asain-artisty-ink-34-line.jpg

The weekend almost here…. I am so excited! I have lots to do this weekend in my stamping room, making lots of creations for my Stampin’ Up! retirement party next Sunday to WOW my customers and also getting a head start on next weeks design team cards…. I have had lots happening lately and all the “stress” was blocking my creative flow but the flow is returning, in a way taking a break always makes me come back with much more excitement and I always think I improve a little more.

This week we have a sketch challenge to play with….

Here is my card…. I have used Asian Artistry which is the yummiest hostess set of them all! Its a level 2 from the Australian Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue. I love water colouring it always looks so good and I kind of find it relaxing.

When I first found Stampin’ Up!, the Haiku paper had just retired. I loved it so much that I scoured the Buy/Sell/Trade forum on Splitcoast and was able to buy two packages of it. I went back and forth for quite a while about whether or not to get the Asian Artistry set, but knew I liked it enough to go for it. When I came across this amazing card of yours, I bookmarked it with the hope that I’d be brave enough to give it a go at some point.

A few days ago I thought I’d attempt the watercoloring and putting all of these elements together, and I can honestly say that it’s one of my favorite cards — absolutely love it! Even though I really didn’t know what I was doing with the watercoloring, I found it surprisingly forgiving and actually enjoyed doing it.

Thank you SO much for the incredible inspiration that you provide, and know that it’s extremely appreciated by a fan of yours in Connecticut!
