A little Late But Here is CASE Study Challenge 28
This should of been posted here on my blog on Thursday, I even had it typed up and saved but I completely forgot to post it, all week I was preparing for an open house which I held today for the Stampin’ Up! Summer Mini and Sale-A-Bration, the day was great and I think everyone had a great time. I stamped my heart out making cards using some of the new products and over the next few weeks I will share some of them here on my blog…. not all of them because I like to keep a few special cards for customers only to view at events {cheeky I know}. This is the last week of Eva Dobilas as our muse, she has been amazing and I have SO enjoyed her cards. Below is this weeks muse card:
The main element that jumped out at me when I first saw Eva’s card was the layers of scalloped edges at the bottom of the card, which I have used on my card. I have used one of the Sale-A-Bration Set called Sweet Summer, I will admit I did need to find a little inspiration to get started with this set so I went blog hopping to some of my favourite Stampin’ Up! blogs and when I arrived on Monica Gale‘s blog I was in love with this set, she has done such a wonderful job with this set. She had used hearts to hang off the vine like stamp which I just adore and this this makes a wonderful wedding card and I just added a greeting from Well Scripted from the Summer Mini.
Here is inside….. with a little {love}

CASE Study Challenge 27
It’s CASE Study time again, we still have the super talented Eva Dobilas as our muse, I am really enjoying working with her cards as inspiration. This week is quite exciting as CASE Study has pared up with The Play Date Cafe for a double challenge use Eva’s card as inspiration and also use The Play Date Cafe colour challenge for this week based on Eva’s card the colours are Red, Black and Green. Below is Eva’s card for this week:
This card was slow in coming to fruition but I did get there in the end, I used the colours The Play Date Cafe Colour Challenge of Red, Black and Green, I added a little Kraft and Vanilla like Eva had in her card. From Eva’s card I was inspired by her layout but mine is a square card, I love how she use’s die cut edges on many of her cards. In place of the flower I have used a bow and the flourishes on my card were inspired by Eva’s flourish she has coming out from her flower.
The stamp set I have used is from the Summer Mini called “Blessed Mother”, I will admit the main reason I bought that set for for the Mother verse but as it turns out I like the flower images aswell. I have also used the Sale-A-Bration set “Bliss” which I just love. Here is the inside for the card, I made this card for my wonderful, caring and beautiful Mum just to let her know how much I love her, she has actually started her own stamping blog so pop over and check out her blog and maybe a little comment love….. click HERE

A Book for Bailey
My niece Bailey who I just adore started school this year, she has made a wonderful transition to school and loves going which is so nice to see. I dropped her off to school the other morning and as I was driving home I thought I would get her a little a gift to let her know how proud we all are of her. That day she came home with her first sticker from the teacher, she was showing everyone and telling that all about the sticker! A light bulb went off in my head to make her a book that she can keep all her stickers, achievements and even a few photos in.
I made the book “base” myself with just a sheet of Chipboard that I cut down to make the front and back cover, the pages are Cardstock that again I cut down. Once I had decorated the pages and covers I used my “Bind it All” to cut the holes and bind the book together. Her name on the cover was cut using the “Simple Letters Alphabet Sizzix die” from Stampin’ Up! pg 154, I love that they cut Chipboard so I will never run out of “a” and “e” again because when I used to buy sheets of precut Chipboard Letters I always use “a” and “e” first then struggle to make words without them letters. I covered the Chipboard with SU! Poppy Parade Cardstock before cutting out the letters them I sponged the letters with VersaMark and stamped them with the dots stamp from “Extreme Elements” pg 52.
I have designed the book so she has lots of white space to add stickers and ect through the year, all the pages are cut at different lengths and have a decorative page ends.
I have given her the book without the photo of her on the first day as no one had printed the photo’s from the first day of school.
I just love this quote that I have put on the inside cover.

Why Did I Do THAT!!!
Don’t you HATE when you finish a card look at it and think it needs a little more or if I just did *blah blah* it will look much better! after you make that change it then looks terrible and you wish you never touched it. If only I had an “undo key” in real life and not just on my key pad. I had one of “those” moments when making this card I had finished then looked at the top layer with the Turtle and felt it need something more, so I ripped the corner and added the newsprint. Now I hate it and wish i had just left it alone but I spend so much time on the rest of the card I did not have the heart to put it in the bin.
I like inside more then the outside. I really felt that the Turtle went so well with the Quote and clock images from ‘Sense of Time’ stamp set.
Products used from Stampin’ Up!
Stamps: Love Defined, Sense of Time and Nature’s Nest
Colours: Very Vanilla, Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Always Artichoke and Early Espresso
CASE Study Challenge 26
It’s CASE Study Challenge 26! and the second week with the oh so talented Eva Dobilas, I found her cards are so inspiring and I have having a ball “casing” her cards. Below is this week’s CASE Study card, again this week I hope you all play along! Check out the other CASE Study DT girls HERE.
I LOVE this card and I was just so inspired by Eva’s card this week, I really liked the layout and have just changed it a little bit, the flower on Eva’s card inspired the music note paper and I make my own flower to add to the card. I am really feeling the love in the air at the moment with Valentine’s Day just around the corner, all the love has spilled onto my card.
Inside…. loving the inside!

Travel Journal
Look out America I am coming over…. Yay! I am very excited to leave in 64 days {not like I am counting lol} for a very exciting holiday with my most favourite people in the world to…… Disney World! I have been to Disney World before in 99’ with my Big Sister {Terrianne}, we had travelled through the West Coast and South of America before arriving in Orlando and as soon as we arrived we rang our Mum to tell her to get on a plane to join us, she did not and has always regretted not coming over.
Forward 11 years: I am turning 30 {OMG} this year and I wanted to go on a little holiday to celebrate this BIG birthday, I was think just going to the Hunter Valley of NSW not to far away, going overseas had on even entered my mind…..until….. one day in early January when Mum and I were driving home from one of my doctors appointments, I was a little quite just thinking about “stuff” when Mum very calmly asked what I thought about going to America instead of the Hunter Valley! Let me think…..YES…. that’s a great idea! The only thing that stopped me from screaming at the stop of my voice with excitement was the fact I had my 5 year old niece {Bailey} in the backseat and she could not know yet! Mum had not spoken to anyone else, if Bailey knew everyone would know! as it is she is now telling everyone that she meets she is going to see Mickey Mouse and Snow White {Cute}
We are now all booked for the most amazing trip, I am so excited to be going with my Mum {finally} and even better my two little nieces who I LOVE more then anything in this world Bailey who is 5 and Ebony who is 1 are going to lose their mind! The only part I am not looking forward to in the flight over with the kids! I have always had the belief that everything has a reason and everything has a time, my Mum will much more enjoy this trip with her daughters and her Grandkids. I have made this gorgeous travel journal for Mum to take notes of things that happen, add photos and little items that she collects on the trip. When I travel I always like to keep a little journal to remember highlights and I have even pulled out my old ones to show Bailey, I really cherish my travel journals so I hope Mum likes this!
Here is the book open…. It was get a plain old boring book with a chipboard cover and cream pages before I got creative.
I have added four pockets to the front inside cover which are just square envelopes that I have folded the flap back, attach the flap to the front of the envelope and then attached the envelopes together. They are lined with SU! printed papers from the Summer Mini. The pockets are handy to drop in maps, ticket stubs, photos and other items that you want to keep, later scrapbook or whatever!
Every page is stamped differently using Notes & Details {pg 19 Summer Mini}, Sentimental Journey {pg 16 Summer Mini} and Extreme Elements {pg 52 IBC} I have taken photos of every page and if not want to bore all my readers by showing 20+ pages so they are in an album on my Facebook Page HERE…. While you are there please feel free to “like” me.
I have three pocket pages through the book which are sheets of “Travel Journal” printed papers from the Summer Mini that I folded to create the pockets.
This was not planned at first but the journal fitted perfect in an old Pretties tin, I just added a little more printed paper.
Don’t forget if you want to see more photos of this project go to my Facebook page HERE

CASE Study Challenge 25
New month, new CASE Study muse…… I am very pleased to have Eva Dobilas check out her blog HERE, I must admit her style will challenge me more this any other muse we have had but I am really look ward to the challenge. Below is her card for this week…. I would LOVE to see many of my stamping friends and blog reader play along….
The first thing that popped out at me when I looked at the muse card was the decorative boarder around the card which inspired my scallop square boarder. I have loosely used the layout and I was taken with the dove , I have taken that “wing” inspiration and created the Graduation owl.
Hope you liked my spin on this weeks card.
