CASE Study 116

Hello my loyal blog readers! I have returned after a short blogging hiatus, I missed a few weeks of CASE Study Challenges while a had a few things happening and one of which was preparing for the Penrith Papercraft Festival that was last weekend, if I met you at the festival… Welcome! I created many projects of the show which I will show in a super post in the next few days.

I am still in a state of shock that it really is November and Christmas is just around the corner, this year has just going in a flash. This is my first week of November playing long at CASE Study, we have a new muse Angeline Yong check out her blog to see more of her work.

On to talking about this weeks muse sample, it is a interesting sample and I think you can take a lot of inspiration from this card.

For me this card was a no brainier  I was straight away drawn to the flower images, they are a little abstract in their design and open to be taken in many different  ways.   I am sure you can tell  the tree branch with the attached Dahlias is my take on the  flowers, I just cant work out what she has attached to the center of the circles they look like eye’s to me but I am not 100% sure! If you know please drop me a comment below.

The colours also played a small part, I love Karft {or Crumb Cake to us Stampin’ Up! Girls} I think everything goes with Crumb Cake so I was happy to use that as my base and I took the Yellow and blues I could see for the rest of my colour palette.

Below is my finished card, I have my tree branch going vertical. I love this little bird family they are so cute.

Stamps: Woodgrain Background, Take Care and Flock Together

Ink: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Summer Starfruit and Island Indigo

Cardstock/Papers: Crumb Cake, Island Indigo, Whisper White and Birds of a Feather DSP

Ribbon: Summer Starfruit
