Stampin’ Up! Artisan Blog Hop {Mum’s Love}

By Teneale Williams | Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop | Mum's Love Stamp Set

April has arrived! It is a crazy busy month for myself with Easter, birthdays {including mine} and ending with South Pacific Convention! So exciting, speaking of exciting… we are changing this up a little this month with our Artisan Blog Hops, we all using the same stamp set of product in the same week, normally we have the same product we all show it on different weeks. I am excited for this change.

This week we are using Mum’s Love or for the North America’s Mothers Love, its a good little set but I wanted to use it in a non-mother kind of way! I have used the for you image on my Easter carrots.

They are kind of cute! I have used Gold Soiree Specialty DSP, this paper as a smooth gloss finish with some of the sheets featuring Metallic Gold printing.  The colours were perfect in the range for Easter, with Pistachio Pudding and Crisp Cantaloupe, I am going to MISS all of the 2013/2015 in-color collections when they retire in May… I think they have been my favourite.

You know the thing that made me FALL in love with Stampin’ Up! when I first found them, was how it all coordinated and they are still doing it SO well, Hello… Crisp Cantaloupe Bakers Twine!

They look totally like carrots right?  These little punches are my go to {minus the green topper} when I need to give a little gift and need to package it FAST. You can pretty much make any size, in this case I used a 6×6 inch sheet because I could get 4 out of a  12 inch sheet.

Here I made 25 longer carrots for my niece to give away to friends and teachers at school, this held a pencil with Easter themed eraser so that is why they are long, the paper was 4×9 inches.

Just incase you have not seen this made, I took a few photos as I created.  As mentioned my starting paper size was 6×6 inch and the tip for getting this made fast and STRONG is Fast Fuse! This adhesive in THE BEST, really it is. Think Sticky Strip {the red tape} but on a runner, when you get to the end of the line that you are applying just give it a little “tick” motion to “cut” the tape.  #YouWillThankMe

Before I send you off to visit the next Artisan on the Blog Hop, I have one last thing, you can use the above idea minus the green for a simple elegant gift pouch.

Use the same technique as above however you will just close the second opening after popping your item inside and not add the “grass”

Now you can ran off and look at all the other ideas using this set. You are heading to Vicky next.
