The title of this post reminds me of that Jennifer Garner film “Suddenly 30” or some international readers may know it as “13 Going on 30”. My oldest niece Bailey is thirteen this year, it is a tricky age. She still wants handmade birthday cards to give friends (I totally love that she still wants me to make cards for her), however, she is getting a little fussy with the designs “we are teenagers now Aunty, it needs to be cool, not cute”.
I have found numbers and digging into my stash of printed papers have been hitting the mark. I have used the INKspired blog hop sketch as inspiration for the layout, make sure at the end of the post you hop around to the other players in the INKspired blog hop and see how they have used the sketch I provided for the team.
I stepped it up for this friend by creating an envelope to hold this teen approved card. Bailey was impressed by my handy work, this time around.
It is the easiest envelope to make, if you are interested in learning how I make them, simply drop a comment on this post and if I have a little interest I will take photos of each stage (the whole 4 steps) explaining.
Most of what I have showcased on this card is retiring June 1st.
Now it is time to head over to Narelle Macey,
I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek to her card for this week
it is P R E T T Y!
