Friday is HERE….YAY! and it is a long weekend which is lovely I just hope it warms up a little here is Sydney because I am freezing. I have big plans to stamp this weekend and I am looking forward to Saturday, I have a team training event to attend and I am doing a bow presentation for the group…. wish me luck :) As you know Friday is also Inkspiration challenge time and this week is a sketch which is SO good. I suggest making time to play along this week.

I just love this colour combo, when I first started I was really struggling with the flower placement, the image in my “head” was not happening on the card front {don’t you hate that} by in the end it came together and I am really happy with it.

Inkspirations Sketch Challenge 22

bella-inkspiration-line-2.jpg

Friday is finally here…YAY, I am so excited for the weekend I am going to a 7gypsy’s class with two of their designers who are out from the USA on Saturday night at one of the Scrapbook stores I teach for {MTL in Liverpool} and well Sunday is Mothers Day so I am looking forward to treating the Mum’s in my family like Queens and helping my little Nieces to make their Mum a card.

You know Friday also means Inkspiration challenge time and it is a sketch this week, I think because I am feeling SO uncreative at the moment I struggled with this one…. I like “balance” and I keep looking at it thinking it needs something for the top left corner…. But it is good to challenge yourself every so often.

Here is what I did…. I can say it does look better in real life because not all the little details have shown up when I photographed the card, I have stamped the Flourish from Vintage Vogue in Pink Pirouette on the Whisper White Cardstock, The Verse {which I love} is from Echoes of Kindness and I have a added a Riding Hood Red Layer with a ripped edge that is just not showing very well…. I am going to stop selling this card to you {lol}

Inside…. again you can’t see the Pink Pirouette stamping on the Whisper White but I did a light stamp En Français in patches

Inspiration Challenge 21

vintage-rose-line.jpg

Its Friday again..…{YAY} the end of the week and Inkspiration challenge time again. I just wanted to say sorry to everyone that I have not uploaded many cards over the past three weeks, I have been a busy little chicken but I am happy to report I did get some stamping time in this week and have taken photos today so next week I will be back on track.

This week is a inspiration challenge….. when I first looked at the image, I straight away thought pretty, vintage and Roses, this is one of the easier inspiration challenges that Keesh has set and I can see lots of pretty cards being make this week. If you have never played along….go on… its fun, just go to Kirsty’s site for all the details and add your creation to Mr. Linky so we can check them all out.

Here is what I came up with, lots of stamping and no Pattern Papers! I have just used En Français Background stamp and the Flourish from Vintage Vogue on all three stamped layers, including a little En Français over the Rose layer. On the Brown layer I have added texture by sponging Close to Cocoa Ink over Close to Cocoa Cardstock then stamped the images in Chocolate Chip Ink. For the Pink layer I have clear embossed the images on Regal Rose Cardstock, sponged the edges in Regal Rose Ink then I did a little Emboss Resist by applying White Craft Ink over the Cardstock and wiped off the excess ink. I am really happy with the effect it has created.

I added this shot to try and show you the stamping detail over the Rose and also with the background when I stamp the En Français I have only stamped parts of the image, by having the stamp face up and placing the Cardstock on the stamp {which is the opposite way to how we normally stamp} I only rub parts of Cardstock which creates the “empty” sections were I have then stamped with the Flourish image….. get me???? Also on the Pink background when I embossed I did not worry about wiping away the excess embossing powder as I wanted that to stay because it added to the background effect.

Inside…. as you can tell mine is a Mother’s Day card because it felt like it had a Mother’s Day feel.

I have used lots of new products from the Autumn Winter Mini Catalogue in this card and I got a little carried away making it because I kept adding more and more…. It has lots of layers, embossing, stitching, cutting, ribbon and glitter….. I think it has turned out really pretty.

I always think Baja Breeze and Whisper White are really elegant together. I was so excited when I found out Stampin’ Up! were bring Sizzix out in Australia I have been a long time Sizzix user and LOVED many of the Stampin’ Up! exclusive dies one of my favourites was the Top Note Die which I have used on this card as well as the Ovals Die. The images I have used are from “Vintage Vogue”, I have clear embossing En Francais for the back layer, stitched my edges with my sawing machine then applied DD glitter to the edge using two way glue to the back layer.
