Happy Little Monster

I know I say often that I love stamp sets but I REALLY love Make a Monster on page 62 of the Australian Catalogue, I love it for a few reasons….. 1. because it is SO cute 2. the options are endless with how many different Monsters I can create by mixing together all the images 3. Well… Bailey loves this set as much as me…. look out for a very cute 4 year old guest designer coming again using this set 4. I can use it for little boys or girls…. yes girls cards! I will show you later my girl monster.

For this card I have paired Make a Monster with On a Pedestal and Crazy for Cupcakes….. Cute or CUTE!

I know…. its a bit boring inside!

Inkspirations Challenge 32

Friday is here…. round on the weekend! This week has flown by faster then normal and normally I have the Inkspiration DT card made well before Friday but not this week! So I have also used Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 77 as well as the Inkspirations colour combo challenge…. Doubly challenged you could say {lol}

Inkspirations Challenge 26

Finally Friday is here, I know I say it often but what a week! I am happy the weekend is here however my weekend is filled with lots of work but I still plan to catch up with some of my favourite people and have a little fun. I have been feeling a little uncreative lately as I am sure you can tell, I am happy to report I feel like my mojo is back! Last weekend I did my last classes in a scrapbook store, which was sad because I have been working in scrapbook stores for years teaching classes all over Sydney but I have stopped doing it so I can focus on my current career direction, having said that there will also be some changes here coming to my blog and with my Stampin’ Up! business soon. I hope to post a little more now I don’t have classes to design for stores.

Anyway I know you are here not to hear all about me or my week but to see a little eye candy and what I did for this weeks Inkspiration challenge. Keesh gave the DT a colour challenge this week….here are the colours:

Here is my card for this week, I am so happy with this card and just think it is super cute. I don’t think I can part with this one and normally I don’t talk myself up {well I don’t think I normally do anyway} but I am feeling pretty clever for coming up with this one The Real Red DSP I have used is retired it was from a 2007 Simply Scrappin kit, I hand most of my scrap DSP to my 4 year old niece Bailey so I had to borrow it from her stash….

Loving the inside too….

If your wondering how I made the banner… well I used these stamps from Party Hearty, the row of party hats which I used upside down and punched the “celebrate” out with a small Circle Punch. I love Party Hearty and it is my most used birthday set.

Happy Birthday Sis

Today is my Sister’s Birthday, So I am sending BIG Birthday wishes out to you Terrianne, I hope you enjoyed your special day. Here is the card I made for the occasion using one of my favourite new sets Crazy for Cupcakes. The Cupcake trend is huge in the Papercraft world at the moment and this set is great because you have so many options in the one set. I have stamped the cupcake image on Watercoulor paper and coloured the image using the an ink pad with a Blender pen, I have gone around the image with Going Grey ink and a Blender pen, doing this really makes the image “pop”. I have used Candy Lane Printed papers and wrapped ribbon around the card and tied a big bow, I have added a button to the centre of the bow { I just love the new Button Range}

Materials used:
Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes
Ink: Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red, Close to Cocoa and Brown StazOn
Paper: SU watercolour, Very Vanilla, Close to Cocoa
Other: Taffeta Ribbon, Button Bouquet, Blender Pen.

I thought I would also show you what else I made for Terrianne’s Birthday….Cup Cakes….. They tasted yummy but I think I will stick with my day job….{gee I hope you don’t get hungry now}

Crazy…..

I have gone crazy, I am having a shocker at the moment….. OK I need to rewind a day to yesterday to set the seen…. I went and did a grocery store and brought in the groceries ….. WELL I don’t know what I was thinking or doing while I put the groceries away because I wanted in the kitchen a few hours later and I had let the “freezer” groceries on the bench, I opened the fridge and I had put the cleaning spray in there, In the SPOT I should of put the milk, then checked the freezer to see were my milk and other “fridge” items were….AND yeah I had but them in the freezer. OMG.
THEN TODAY….
I picked up my eco bags and handbag, I drove to the grocery store again, I picked up the items I needed to replace after yesterday….Went to the check out which was the same girl as yesterday so I told her my story….Put my hand in my hand bag and WHAT “NO MONEY”….I left my purse at home….. So I had to drive home and get my purse to pay for my shopping. You all I could do was cry, I really think I have LOST the plot……
THEN to add insult to injury, My Dear BF Elise suggested that this is happening because I am turning a year older tomorrow and she thinking it is a sign of “old age”…….. Elise is a few years younger then I….. And knows that I am already struggling with this birthday…… SO I just feel great, I am Old and Crazy…….. {lol}

Well now I have that off my chest, I can move on to the reason you are really here that’s for a card. I found this card kind of suitable to share today because I have used “Crazy” for Cupcakes, I found this set so much fun to use. This was a quick card to make {well quick for me} I have paper pieced the cupcake using Sweet Always printed papers. I am not totally sure on this card with the Birthday flag, I kept playing around with the position I am not sure if it should be in the centre…. But here it is.

Ink: Choc Chip and Pumpkin Pie
Paper: Sweet Always printed papers, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Regal Rose and Pink Pirouette
Other: White Gel Pen, Blender Pen and SU Button
