Christmas Joy

Christmas, SAS, Stamp a stack, Stampin' up!, Jolly Holiday, Teneale Williams, Classes

Christmas is 126 days away! He he he, it’s ok I am not trying to put pressure on you that Christmas is coming really I should say we still have over 4 months until Christmas and I thought I would start posting some Christmas related ideas to take a little pressure off you in December. I myself start making my Christmas cards and little gifts  in July every year I make a bunch  each month so when December rolls around I can enjoy to my favourite time of year.

Stamp A Stack, Stampin' Up!, Quick and Easy Christmas Cards, Teneale Williams, Perfect Punches

To create this cards I chopped up strips of Jolly Holiday Printed Paper from Stampin’ Up! which is retiring this month AND 40% off until sold out….making it only $10.17 for 12 sheets…..I know you are thing what a bargain!   I attached all the strips of Jolly Holiday to a 4 x 5 inch scrap of card stock then cut it out with the Top Note and my Big Shot. The image I used is from Perfect Punches and punched out with the  1 3/4 inch Scallop Circle and the 1 1/4 inch circle, stamping in Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive.

Stampin' Up!, Christmas Cards, Stamp A Stack, Quick, Easy, Sizzix, Teneale Williams

One gift that I love to make is Christmas card sets that I give to my not so crafty friends in early December, it is the gift that keeps giving as they then give cards to their loved ones. I have just make a little box, covered it with smaller pieces of  Jolly Holiday Paper, popped in 8 cards with envelopes and created a “top” with a window sheet.  I love my little holly with a Cherry Cobbler buttom center as a embellishment. Before to ask me for the size of the box because I know some of you will lol I just scored and cut to fit the cards did not really have a pattern {sorry kids}.

Case Study 12

case-study-12-line.jpg

Can you believe we are up to our 12th Case Study, sadly it is the last week for our October Muse Barbara Anders and even sadder is that two of our fabulous design team members Carole and Cindy have stepped down, both girls are hugely talented, they are moving on to big and better opportunities within the industry. I wish them both the best.

On to this weeks card, here is the Muse card…..

case-12.jpg

And….. my card! One thing I loved with Barbara’s card’s they have so many elements that inspire me. This time her layout jumped out at me to case, as you can tell I have added an oval to the top half of my card and I have not rounded my corners….however had I not had a fight with my corner rounder I would of! {grrrrrrrrr} I LOVE the little detail of the score lines on the bottom panel, so I have done that on my card and I have also stamped my greeting in a simpler position to Barbara. This muse card for me just had to be a Christmas theme and it looks like most of the design team agree.

Inside……. Can I just say I am LOVING this Printed Paper I am using it in the Cocoa DSP from this months Stampin’ Up! promotion, click here to read all about the promotion and click here to view all the sheets in this printed paper pack

case-week-4-christmas-line.jpg

Week 4 of Case Study is here but sadly the last week of Muse Makiko Jones . I have am SO busy this week with the change over of the Stampin’ Up! Catalogue and work in general so this is going to be fast…. go to the Case Study site to see this weeks Muse card and the other designers creations.

case_study_header.jpg

My spin on this weeks card…. I love Christmas and the set I have used is NEW from Stampin’ Up! Australia I have been busting to make a card with it so….I did.
I was inspired by the layout which is very clear this week in place of the flower I added a bow because….well…. I love bows {lol} I loved the way Makiko added the pearls so I added tiny pearls to my Christmas Ornament and a row of three on the top left corner.

Peaceful Blue

a-wish-for-peace-boarding-blue-line.jpg

I still have a few more simple Christmas cards to show before Christmas and a few ideas on packaging your gifts, I am about to go Christmas light looking with my Sister and Nieces so it better be short. I just want to say thanks for all the messages about my last post and my “lack” of cooking skills, they have all made me laugh and my sister did read me blog this morning and almost died when she realised I was so worried about cooking and Bailey’s comment, kids just say the cutest things.

This card IS SO EASY as you can tell and I really like it. I have stepped away from my layer on layer on LAYER and ribbon to create this card in bulk. I have stamped the images in Boarding Blue on Whisper White cardstock and added a little glitter to the main tree, it does look really sparkly in real life. I made about 40 of them in an hour and a bit so if you still have a few cards to make here is a quick card idea.

Classic Star

christmas-classics-tripe-star-line.jpg

OMG Christmas is now under a week away and I still have loads of cards and projects to show you before Christmas comes and goes….. Like most people I am very busy getting ready for Christmas although I finished my shopping weeks ago and made my cards months ago I still feel like I have a million things to do! for the first year I am the family “Chef” this Christmas, this is a role my sister has held for many years and always cooks the most amazing meals for our Christmas celebrations so I have such huge shoes to fill as my niece Bailey who is only 4 told me last week “My Mummy is the best at everything not you Aunty you just do good craft not cooking….Nooooooo {shaking her head} not good cooking” Can you can see what I am up against? Up until Bailey told me that I did not think I was that bad at cooking but wish me luck!

Seeing I am good at craft I better talk about these cards, I have two simple and elegant cards that are very quick to make to share with you today. For both I have stamped the star in Night of Navy ink over the front of the card and sponged the edge, I stamped the star on Navy cardstock in VersaMark and embossing in Silver then punched the image out with the Star Punch. I have embossed the greeting in Silver as well.

Christmas Treats

sweet-treats-xmas-card-line.jpg

I am almost out of Christmas cards and projects to share with you but I really like this card, I have a few people that LOVE chocolate and will really appreciate a card with candy. I have used the Sweet Treat Cups from the Summer Mini with the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch to create this Christmas bauble filled with red M&M’s. The top of the bauble is made by punching a little of the 1 3/4″ circle and one of the petals from the 5 Petal Punch using Riding Hood Red Cardstock, sponged then attached above the 1 3/4″ Circle punch out.

Like this card? Well I still have a few spots for my Friday night class making this card and a second “Sweet Treats” flower card.

christmas-brayered-sky-flat.jpg

For the inside I have stamped snowflakes from “Snow Swirled” in tones of Boarding Blue and Night of Navy, I added a little sparkle to the snowflake with Dazzling Diamonds. The sentiment is also from “Snow Swirled” which I have stamped on brayered cardstock and punched out with the wide oval punch.

Sahara Peace

a-wish-for-peace-sahara-peace-line.jpg

I hope your not sick of Christmas cards yet because I have another one today sticking with the simple and elegant theme, this time using “A Wish of Peace” which is such a lovely set. The Background was wheeled with the “Soft Holly” using Sahara Sand ink. The dove was stamped in Sahara Sand, and I have added a little glitter to the wings which you can’t see very well in the photo. The centre of the ribbon is a Build A Brad with a Pearl from the Pretties kit attached.

Just a short post today, I am still trying to finish my swaps for Stampin’ Up! Sydney Regional training this weekend and I always have the grandest ideas for my swaps and never realise how long they take to make and I still have a long way to go to get them finished by the morning in between my classes today…..

I am keeping with the Red, Vanilla and Chocolate theme with just one more card. I am really happy with this card it uses my favourite set of the Christmas range from Stampin’ Up it’s called “Tree Trimmings” and its in the current Spring Mini that you can view online here, this mini actually ends on 30th of November so if you like this set then I would suggest ordering now as it is not guaranteed to make the next Idea Book and Catalogue.
