Plum Perfection {Workshop Wow Card 4}
Finally the last card from my WOW presentation at Stampin’ Up! Convention in Melbourne then over the coming week I will show you the card that did not make the presentation…..my rejects I guess you could say, that’s if I don’t change my mind and never show them {lol} This card showed how I use the Everywhere Glue to create ruffles, I like using the glue over tape as I can play around with it a little more and once the glue is dry it firmly holds my ruffle in place. View the presentation HERE

The bird with from the Botanical Gazette printed paper from the current mini, I have water colour coloured the bird with my watercolour wonder crayons and cut him out. The background paper is also from this same range I have just brayed Marina Mist ink around the edges. Watch the video HERE to see my ribbon trick on this card.

Sewing Style {Workshop Wow Card 2}
I ‘am back! with my second card from my “wow” presentation, for this card I showed how you can create a double loop for your bow for ‘fuller’ loops. I must admit this is my favourite card of the 4 cards, I love the printed paper called “Love Letter” I am onto my third packet of it. I was not sure on this stamp set called “Sew Suite” but a very sweet friend of mine and fellow demo {waving hello to you Mrs Packer} gave me a little encouragement and guess what I LOVE it now. Like most people who like “craft” it is normally not just one type of craft, I love sewing as well in fact I used to be very good at it but since getting into card making I have not used my sewing machine for sewing on fabric it is now mostly used for sewing on paper, you may notice a little sewing on this card as a matter of fact.
Inside, don’t you just love that birthday verse from Bring On the Cake stamp set in the Summer Mini. “Not just a year older, but a year better”

Butterfly Bow {Workshop Wow Card 1}
As promised here is the start of the cards I showed at Stampin’ Up! Convention in Melbourne last week. This card I showed how I cut my wide striped Grosgrain ribbon down and melt the edges with my lighter so they do not fray then showed how I tie my bow. You can view the video here.
I love the colours in this card, for the background I have clear embossed the Medallion on Autumn Spice DSP from the Summer Mini then brayered over the top with Pear Pizzazz ink to make the embossing pop a little. Along the bottom is just Rich Razzleberry cardstock that I have clear embossed with the blossoms stamp from Elements of Style then stamped a little script from “French Foliage” in Early Espresso. I have used Stampin’ Up! Watercolour paper cut out with the Sizzix Beautiful Butterflies die, I again used the blossom stamp from Elements of Style with Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive Markers to colour the flowers and leafs then I water coloured lightly with Watercolour Wonder Crayons. I like adding a little vintage feel by stamping the script and ink splat from “French Foliage” and sponging with Tea ink from the SU! Distressing Essentials kit.

Melbourne Convention 2011
I am the luckiest girl I know, I am getting two Stampin’ Up! Convention in one year, last week I attended and presented at the Australian Convention down in Melbourne and in 50 days {yes I am counting} I leave for U.S Convention in SALT LAKE CITY! OMG exciting…… I think I have come home the most inspired ever from this convention and I just want to “share” Stampin’ Up! With everyone I know.
I got to Melbourne a few days before Convention started to take in what Melbourne offered and catch up with friends and fellow demos, one of the best parts of Stampin’ Up! Is all the friendships I have formed. I did not make swap cards this year which felt a little strange not swapping and I have decided I will make sure I always swap in the future because it is such a great way to talk with people and trade ideas. The reason I did not make swaps was I was doing a Workshop WOW which had taken a huge amount of my time. I was so excited when Sharron West called to asked if I would do a WOW, I had lots of ideas however in the end I keep it simple and showed the thing I do best….bows plus a few tricks I have picked up about ribbon. I was the last one of the six demo’s showing a WOW and I was booked in for the last WOW on the last day in the last session…… but I was not nerves at all which is a little worrying really but I just wanted to get it done.
Here is a photo that the very sweet Sue Madex emailed me this week showing me on stage and every time I went to show a finished card the cameras that went up to take a photo.
I have already received many emails asking for a video of my presentation so I hope I am not breaking any rules I had a friend record my WOW presentation on the main stage, I had her do it as I used to be a corporate trainer and it was an exercise I used to do, recording my talks so I could view them later to review and improve but seeing so many people have asked to see it again I have uploaded it to YouTube for you all.
I will crop the photos of my cards and post them over the next week days. I have lots going on personally at the moment so please feel free to email me with questions but it may take a few days from me to reply but please do email me…. I love hearing from you.
