Do you often make cards for people because they have been on your mind and you want them to know they are pretty special! I will be honest, I don’t as often as I should but this very pink card is going to a dear friend to brighten her day. Well, I hope it brightens her day when it arrives. The greeting from Stampin’Up! Needle and Thread stamp set “People like you make the world a better place” is so fitting, she warms a room with her smile and loving heart, I am so blessed to have many friends that make the world a better place.
I used the sketch for the INKspired blog hop, we are up to round 93 and we will have some new players joining us very soon! I should start thinking about how we celebrate our 100 blog. A few of the players were not totally loving this sketch, I included (yes, I did design the sketch) so I am excited to see everyone’s creations.
I used All My Love Designer Series Paper (DSP) I adore the colour combo in the paper of Crumb Cake, Flirty Flamingo, Lovely Lipstick, Soft Sea Foam and Whisper White. I put the papers through the Sutble embossing folder and lightly sanded for a gentle distressed look, in my last blog post I spoke about my love of adding texture. The flowers are fussy cut from sheets of the All My Love DSP, now we have so many dies to cut images, I very rarely fussy cut. I might be strange but I found it enjoyable and I cut far too many, so I think you will see more cards suing these flowers very soon.
Not only did I add texture, I added ribbon to under the Lovely Lipstick paper so it is peeking out the edge and I have added a little sewing also.
Inside the card, I did not stamp a greeting as I want lots of room to write my message, I have added a cluster flowers in the corner and more of the distressed Lovely Lipstick paper. Very rarely did I make a card without Linen Thread and this card was close to missing my favourite product but I added a loop over the ribbon.
Next up is Kozue, who had her Birthday Yesterday (Saturday) it would be wonderful if you drop her a birthday wish.
