Hello and welcome, today I am taking part in the Dream Theme Blog Hop, we are all making small gift ideas. I am TOTALLY excited to see what the ladies come up with, we are an international team, one person from each market Stampin’ Up! operates in, I am waving the blog for Australia. The idea for this blog hop came from my friend Patrice Halliday-Larsen of New Zealand we have talked for over a year about doing something together and here it is.
I am a total CHRISTMAS Crazy! I just love it, like everything; what it represents and the celebration, also all the pretty decorations this time brings and I just find people are nicer in general at Christmas. With all that said, I felt that I had to make my theme Christmas.
It is a matchbox style box, the tray slides out to reveal 3 tags, 5 of each design. I used the blackboard stamping technique on the tags, stamping the greeting with VersaMark and white embossing the image on Basic Black cardstock then I lightly sponged a little white craft ink over the embossing, I just adore how this turns out.
The stamp set I used for the greetings is called Oh What Fun, it is from the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue and the BEST news is that in November it is 25% off; see here and here for other stamps discounted this month.
HOW cute are this ribbon spools! They totally boost the cutest factor, as too the mini Jingle bells, they are great value. Check them out HERE.
Well that is all I have for you today, thank you for stopping by. The next blog to visit is the leader of this blog hop and my dear friend Patrice Halliday-Larsen of New Zealand

A big hello and welcome! We have just stopped in on the INKspired blog hop, we have 10 cards all based on the one sketch, which you can see below. I am the sketch maker and I have to say this layout had me scratching my head, I am not sure what I was thinking with this design. I am excited to see what the other team members have come up with; something a little excited (No really it is MASSIVE) we have a Stampin’ Up! Artisan in our INKspired lineup, my fabulously talented friend Louise Sharp was just announced as part of the 2017 design team, make sure you stop by and say congratulations to her.
I am rocking the printed paper in this card! I feel pretty safe saying that I have been able to overcome SOME of my pretty paper hoarding. This printed paper I used from the Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalogue called Floral Boutique, it is all Night if Navy and Whisper White, it reminds me of china plates; so elegant and stunning. As you can see the card is really simple, the greeting is from the coordinating stamp set, I have stamped it on Sahara Sand cardstock as it was lost when I tried using Whisper White cardstock.
The next INKspired Artist to visit is Nicole Anderson
Welcome to a new round of the INKspired blog hop, we have 9 cards all created around the same sketch; the sketch for this round is pretty simple and a classic layout, I am excited to see how the other girls have taken the sketch.
In Australia, we are in Spring so I have taken inspiration from the season through the colours used; Old Olive, Perfect Plum and Crushed Curry. I have stamped the leaves on Watercolour paper, well I should say I stamped them onto scrap paper then on the Watercolour paper so the colours are a little lighter. After doing that I brushed a water brush over the image, this allowed a little of the ink to spread a little and resulted in this delightful background.
The next INKspired Artist you are going to visit is Nicole Anderson
Hello, I hope you are doing well. I feel like I have not blogged in ages, well I guess I have had a little break! I have spoken previously about returning to study as a mature age student at University; I had a few assignments due and that took most of my attention, my little stamp set was feeling a little neglected. Last week I was reunited with my stamping supplies. Craft is totally therapeutic and I am one of those crazy people that LOVE fussy cutting, one of the only times I can totally tune off my brain! My youngest niece is having a birthday this coming week, she asked to have taco’s for dinner the night of her birthday and being that crafty Aunt that I am; we are now having a Mexican fiesta.
This post in linked into the INKspired blog hop, we have 10 stops on this blog hop all using the same sketch to create our cards. If you arrived from Barbara aka my mum, you will have seen she also made a card Ebony’s birthday, we used the same paper and sketch.
Remember when I said I love fussy cutting! Yes, I hand cut the streamers from a sheet of print paper in Festive Birthday DSP and I may have suggested to my niece Ebony that she select Mexican as her cuisine on her Birthday so I could use the Birthday Fiesta product suite from Stampin’ Up! It is so CUTE! I saw the idea of placing little googly eyes on the cactus image from Sarah-Jane Rae at cardsandacuppa. I just spotted that see added a little moustache to hers, which is just adorable and I may just add one to this little guy before Ebony gets the card on Wednesday.
Next blog to stop by is new player Nicole Anderson and we have a returning player Marlene Goulder
