62 {CASE Study 59}

September 29, 2011

Teneale Williams

I am in a flap at the moment with pretty much everything! I just have so many things going on and changing. I know we all encounter times in our life like this but I am still feeling “all shook up” as Elvis once sang. I feel like my poor little blog as been neglected, I have been stamping and creating but just not snapping a photo of the finished product or not yet had the time to write the post.

It is the last week of September {hello where has 2011 gone} and that means the last week of Julie Lacey as the CASE Study muse, this week Julie has given us again a wonderful card to be inspired by to the left of this post.

What inspiration did I take from Julie?

Colours: Julie is clean and sharp with her colours mine I have used the same tones but distressed them a little and I have used Very Vanilla in place of White.

Layout: I think it is clear to see the layout inspiration with the layer at the top and I have just moved the ribbon down to about the center of the card and I have just a knot no bow as my card is for a male birthday I have coming on Monday and a bow just would not suit this man.

Corner: I loved the rounded corner on the right top and bottom of Julie’s card. I added that detail to my card with a ripped left corner, I ripped mine to keep with the distress feel I was creating.

After reading all about Julie’s card and what inspired me, here is my CASE Study card for this week…..

    This is just a great card. Why can’t I make man cards like this? Coming to the US anytime soon? I’ll give you room and board if you teach me to stamp like this!!

    Fabulous male card! Love all the details but that torn corner is just perfect. Weird how sometimes it’s the little things that really finish a card off.
