I feel like I am really getting into Christmas card making mode, I normally feel like I struggle to get into that mode even though I love Christmas. I am going to OnStage Live which being held in Orlando in November, I am away a large chunk of November and December is always crazy busy so I have set an October 3oth deadline to have my Christmas cards made… I will let you know if I make that ‘deadline’ or if I adjust it.
I think the upcoming Holiday Catalogue from Stampin’ Up! has helped get me creating, it is amazing! I am not just saying that, it really is one of the best Stampin’ Up! have created. The card I am sharing today using the latest sketch for the INKspired blog hop and staring all new products for the Holiday Catalogue.
Before I get to the card, I need to show you the envelope which I created to hold the card. I have used new papers called Peaceful Noel, some of the sheets are foil printed and I have also used the matching stamp set Peaceful Noel for the greeting and the holly stamp. I will be using this a lot.
Open the envelope and what do we have.
Look at that Reindeer! It is just Thinlit, it does not have a matching stamp set, however, the remaining dies in the set coordinate with stamps in Dashing Deer. I will be using this stamp and die bundle early next month when the catalogue is released so you can see how they work together.
I have added a close up to show the splatter detail that I lightly applied over the card and envelope. Returning to the product range in Shimmer paint, so many of my customers remember my LOVE of shimmer paint.
Every card I made had shimmer paint somewhere on it, now they have released two new colours a Vegas Gold (that looks gross) and the colour I have used here Bright Copper (which is almost as good as Champagne Mist). I simply dipped a paintbrush, I like to use a rigger brush (they have longish bristle), I did not want my splatter to be too large so I wiped off a little paint on the side of the bottle and with a ‘relaxed’ hold on the end of the brush I tapped on the ferrule (or just call it the silver bit).
Finally, inside the card. The greeting is from a new set called Merry Christmas To All. Making this card I was like a kid on Christmas morning that wanted to just try all their new toys.
The next blog you are hopping over to is the newest member of the team Kozue
