Adore Rose….Win my card

January 19, 2009

I am feeling so Inspired at the moment, I had been feeling a little “over it” lately…. But I am definitely not feeling that way anymore, And this card was my turning point…. I made this over the weekend and I LOVE it. I pull out a classic stamp, Stipple Rose and a Few Favourite Backgrounds to create this little beauty. I coloured the image with Real Red and Old Olive Markers onto Stampin’ Up! Watercolour paper, I used a Blender Pen to watercolour image. I have stamped “Adore” from Tres Chic using a Choc Chip marker (Don’t look at Tres Chic as just a Background Stamp, it’s a GREAT word set aswell). I have stamped both the Real Red and Olive Old Cardstock with the Linen background in VersaMark (I Love adding little details), I have stamped the Floral background on the Old Olive cardstock. I have layered up the card as shown and tied Stain ribbon round the card (This Ribbon is from the Theatre ribbon pack).

adore-rose.jpg

I have made a bunch of this cards to give to some of my Friends that I just “adore” and just want them to know that and I have also made one to offer on my blog as a give away… What do you need to do to win? Tell me what inspires to create or what do you do when your feeling uninspired? I will pick a winner at random and post them this card and a little SU Surprise. Now closed
Thank you for stopping by….

    What a beautiful card.
When i am feeling uninspired, I always go away from the desk and flick through some magazines on the lounge. Just taking a break from my desk always seems to help.

This is gorgeous! I’m sure your friends will be over the moon to recieve such a beauty.
When I’m uninspired, I go blog hopping. Then I get so many ideas in my head, I often don’t get them translated into ink and paper! I know I’m not very creative but I enjoy what I do and that’s what counts.

I just love browsing and then stamp late into the night because I want to do everything now, not latter. Have a great day, Marls

    Hi Teneale,
What a stunning card it is absolutely gorgeous. When i get stuck for ideas i flick through the stampin up catalogues and go to my favourite Blog sites, and yes of course yours is at the top of them.. I without a doubt come away with some wonderful and exciting ideas. Can i just say thankyou Teneale for sharing all your beautiful work with us fellow Card makers.. You are truly a talented lady.
    Kerrie xx

  18. Kerry says: January 20, 2009 at 5:01 pm

You have outdone yourself, Teneale, this card is STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL! I want one, I want one!!!!! How do I get my mojo back? Well, whenever I blog surf I save copies of cards I love and when I need inspiration I look through them. It never fails, and may I add that there are quite a few TW cards in that file! I think this one will be going in there too….!

  19. Kirsty Brown says: January 20, 2009 at 9:04 pm

    This card is just stunning!
What a great oppurtunity to own a piece of your artwork! How exciting!
Lots of things inspire me, and I cannot pin it down to one thing. But colour inspirations and challenges really get my creative juices going, but on the other hand just looking at stamps do to. Another good one would be scrapbook paper, like Fancy Pants, Basic Grey and Sassafras Lass. Sometimes it would be the colour or pattern. There are others but they are the main ones.
    Cheers, Kirsty

Wow……no surprise really – if I need to see me a great card to see- I head on over to here………………..if I don’t need to see a great card ….I just go ahead and create because that means that I have one in my head. BUT you are such an inspiration – I NEVER sit down to make anything unless I can see it in my head – I don’t have time to fiddle diddle around!!!

Beautiful Card Teneale, Love the colours

  23. KimB says: January 21, 2009 at 7:09 am

    Hi Teneale,

that colours were stunning in this card – it just jumps off the page. When I’m uninspired I draw ideas from the things around me – I made a great baby card using the stripes on my son’s t-shirt to give me the colour palette.

    Regards,

    Kim

  24. Lou says: January 21, 2009 at 8:57 am

W*O*W Just a stunning card! I blog hope a lot for inspiration and save pics for later inspiration. My aim this year is to make more than I save! lol

    Lou

  25. Tamara says: January 21, 2009 at 10:39 am

Actually Lou has said it all. I just love the card and your blog. When the creativity isn’t flowing I usually blog hop with my favourite internet friends. They don’t know me but I feel that they are my friends and I thank them every morning for their stories, helpful hints and ideas (usually for that stamp that I just had to have and then????).

  26. Jean says: January 21, 2009 at 2:08 pm

Teneale, your colouring of this card is just beautiful and so is the whole card!

When I lose my Mojo, I either go through magazines or surf through blogs and the SCS gallery. I always find something to make me want to get in and make a card!!

  27. Lana says: January 21, 2009 at 5:16 pm

What an absolutely beautiful card. You are one very talented lady.

  28. Patrice says: January 21, 2009 at 9:19 pm

An absolutely gorgeous card! You are so talented, if I could be half as good I’d be happy. When uninspired – a lot lately – I check my favourite blogs, often coming away with too many ideas and end up feeling overwhelmed and get nothing done anyway! Not for lack of trying/wanting to though :o)

  29. Marelle Taylor says: January 21, 2009 at 10:24 pm

This is divine Teneale! You’re such an artist…
    xoxo

  30. Tami says: January 22, 2009 at 5:54 am

This card is just stunning! Your coloring is beautiful and the flower looks like you could just pick it off the card! I always blog surf or stop over at SCS when I’m feeling less than creative. It usually spurs the creative juices!

  31. Margaret says: January 22, 2009 at 11:52 am

    Teneale,

You are my inspiration. All your work is sensational. You are so creative and come up with such wonderful ideas.

  32. Lynda says: January 22, 2009 at 3:27 pm

Teneale, the card is devine……worth framing. I am amazed you did more than one!!

When I’m down and feeling blue,
    And inspiration is low,
I open up my box of tricks and let my feelings go.
I stamp and quill and punch my worth,
    Until the blues are gone,
    Knowing that creating stuff
Has cast a light and shone

  33. Naomi Vaughan says: January 22, 2009 at 3:54 pm

As always YOUR work is inspiring. Your current card is lovely. I also find tidying up my craft desk and room can inspire me…….I usually find things I’ve forgotten that I had and I get motivated to use them!

  34. Julie Saylor says: January 23, 2009 at 3:36 am

Love your card. Ahhh, inspiration…sometimes I have it, but often not – LOL. To try and get it, I check out SCS and blog hop and when all else fails, I CASE. Often times, I will start by casing a card and then it will morph into something else.

  35. Susan S. says: January 24, 2009 at 12:36 am

What inspires me to create? A stunning card like this! Wow! You did an amazing job and I can almost smell the aroma!

  36. Angela Corbett says: January 24, 2009 at 2:26 pm

What a stunning card! When I feel uninspired it usually means I need to take a little break, usually for about a week. After that I can usually get back into it. I had a good break last week when we were on holiday and I couldnt even use my laptop. It was just what I needed.

  37. Chris Parker-Barnes says: January 25, 2009 at 7:11 pm

    Hi Teneale
This card is absolutely gorgeous, and your watercolouring is done so beautifully. Thank you for inspiring me to continue to try my hand at watercolouring, you have given me some incentive to practice and learn more.
When I am uninspired I often go out in my beautiful garden and look at the roses 🙂 or sit under a tree. Sometimes my 3 year old son inspires me because he loves “helping” Mummy do dot dot (that’s what he calls stamping), and if neither of those things work, I do some blog surfing, and your work often inspires me in one way or another. So thank you!

  38. Tracy C says: January 25, 2009 at 8:16 pm

    Hi Teneale,
I “Adore” your card, it is one that I would be very proud of if I could do one that nice (like that’s gonna happen). I hope you are proud of it.
To get inspiration I try several things, blog browsing, scs, catalogues, tidy my craft area, and most important… Prayer. I pull out a few pieces of card, usually scraps and then seriously say “help me out here God!” I figure he’s the best at creating, so why not ask the Best 😀 Blessings, Tracy xx
