My goodness me! Before I start I want to say sorry for the poor photographs in the post, Sydney was hit with a MASSIVE storm on Saturday afternoon bring hail and heavy rain, in fact Sydney looked like it was snowing which has never happened before. I live in one of the hardest hit areas and the roof in my studio started leaking and yes, some of my supplies were damaged but replaceable! I normally take photos in there so I need to play around and find a place with better lighting until the roof is fixed.
I have added a pic of the hail about 3 hours after the storm hit, this is the slowly melting snow hail. My studio is a MESS and too depressing to so a picture of.
This card really does look better in real life with the little pops of gold. My inspiration for this card was Broadway! The top hats, ticket stub and a little glam to create a card to say congratulations to a very dramatic friend of mine #youknowyouaredramatic
I stamped the hats out using Jet Black StazOn and then cut them out, the stamp design had 6 different hats but I have used just the top hat style hats.
The star burst is stamped in Crumb Cake ink and the stamp set used is Perpetual Birthday Calendar {buy HERE} This stamp set is easy to over look but look again at the images that you can use as backgrounds, I just adore this set.
This ticket stub is my favourite element on the card I must say, this stamp set I used “That’s the Ticket” is on the retirement list {see list HERE} I have stamped the image on Lost Lagoon cardstock and sponged with VersaMark.
Notice the detail on the end? I stamped the ticket with the ticket duo punch {buy HERE} and then used the small postage punch from Little Labels Punch Pack {buy HERE}.
I always like to stamp the inside of my card and use elements from the front design on the inside, I have a second ticket stub with a top hat and this time congratulations stamped as the greeting. I still have room to add a little note to my friend.

Good evening. This is the first time I’ve seen your blog and I am very impressed with your card…your attention to detail is amazing…I never would have thought to have the ticket look like it had be attached to something else. I was also interested to see the pictures on your facebook account…we have friends just outside Sydney…to see the hail is something else. God bless.
You are AMAZING – all the time!!
I REALLY like your card!! Great tip on the starburst image too- you’re right, that’s easy to overlook!
Good luck with the weather…! That’s frustrating.
Sorry to hear about your roof! Hope it’s fixed quickly and in the meantime we will all continue to enjoy your convention posts 🙂 great card with the hats popped up. Love it!
Wow, wow, wow! Teneale you always come up with something gorgeous but I’m bowled over by this broadway themed card. Love your clever touches – the ticket stitched on and using the postage stamp punch to make an authentic perforated edge. Hope the storm didn’t do too much damage and hope you’re having a great time at convention! Vicky x
Super fabulous! Love the use of the small images…great design.
I’m so sorry about the damage to your studio. What a bad storm! Your card is beautiful! Your projects are always stunning!
I am LOVING the detail you added to the ends of the ticket. It looks you’ve got an actual ticket stub on your card. You’re so full of clever and wonderful tricks, Teneale!
Wow, great card. I love the postage punch used on the ticket, it adds the perfect touch.
Thanks for sharing.
