I must confess I have a terrible habit….. hoarding embellishments! Its really bad, I buy pretty little kits like the current Artisan Embellishment Kit with the sweetest little resit roses! They are so pretty I was not sure I could part with one of them, however my friend receiving the card is very dear and not a cardmaker herself but I know she adores receiving my handmade cards so I guess I should be happy to share my “Pretty Little Things”
I have used the Butterflies Thinlits Dies cutting the shape from Kraft cardstock, behind the butterfly is Filter Paper for a light layer and then Champagne Glimmer Paper, I wish the photo showed the sparkle of the glimmer paper, I LOVE this stuff. I placed the layered butterfly on ticket tags from Celebration Basics Kit.
Here is the inside of the card, like the front I have Crisp Cantaloupe dots, sawing and a little glimmer paper. The butterflies stamped are the CUTEST and from the Perpetual Birthday Calendar and perfect for this card.
Next stop on the Artisan Blog hop is the talented Vicky Hayes waving the flag for the UK.
stunning!
Thank you
Teneale, this is a stunning card. I was wondering about the edges of the Crisp Cantaloupe DSP on the card front- are you “edging” them somehow, or is it mounted on whisper white with a small border? It looks gorgeous whatever you do. I love checking your blog each week for the Artisan Blog Hop!
Yes, you guessed it correct! I layered the DSP on Whisper White then trimmed it to a super fine board as I love the clean edge.
Thanks for leaving a comment, its great to hear from people stopping by.
This is a lovely card! Great details both inside and out.
I just love the insides stamped.

Your cards amaze me week after week. Your attention to detail is amazing.
Beautiful card Teneale, love the color combination and the touch of champagne glimmer paper!
I’d like to know how you get the stitching on these cards? Are you piercing it and then threading a needle or is there some gadget I don’t know about?! 🙂
Hi Amy,
I just use a normal sawing machine.
Thanks for stopping by.
Teneale 🙂
