Stampin’ Up! Artisan Blog Hop {Berry Basket}

February 26, 2015

By Teneale Williams | Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop | Easter Berry Basket

I know what your thinking, Easter already! We are in February still. I know and I am posting a disclaimer that this post is not intended to place any pressure on you, I am simply giving your “food of thought” so when you are ready to take on Easter project maybe I have helped a little.

One of my favourite products in the current Occasions Catalogue  is the Berry Basket Die, I have always loved little Berry Baskets but I LOVE the die because I can cut them out in cardstock that suits my project. I have used Kraft cardstock with Strawberry Slush dot printed paper for the scallop band holding the sides together and added a bow made from the Bow Builder Punch.

I have to say I just adore the framelets from Handpicked, I wanted them a little stronger then simply cut from cardstock so I have cut them from 2.5mm Balsa Wood and attached the stamped image to the front, I love it having a wooden element. I should not that you do need to pass the framelet and Balsa Wood through the Big Shot a few times for it to cut but totally worth it.

Well I hope you enjoyed this simple Easter idea, I am making a bunch more and sitting them on the table for Easter Sunday family lunch with everyone’s name in place of Happy Easter, acting like place cards but WAY cuter.

Don’t forget that We Stamp For Lara starts March 1st and you going have a few days left to get the early bird rate. It is a wonderful cause and looks of inspiring ideas.

    Teneale, I think these baskets are lovely!! Quick question, do you think using the framelit on balsa wood dulled the die? Does it still cut paper ok? TIA!!

      Hey Janet,

      As it was a thin Balsa wood it was fine, the great thing about framelits is that it pressure that cuts the materials “ie: cardstock or Balsa”
