Welcome bloggie friends! Its Stampin’ Up! Artisan blog hop time, if this is your first stop of the 14th stop of the 16 we have prepared for you today, I am sure I am not alone but every week I am BLOWN away but the clever ideas the Artisan girls come up with or use a stamp set that I was not totally loving…. yes sometimes I dont love everything at first, like the main stamp set I am using today called “You Plus Me” it is kind of a “Valentines” stamp set and I am not normally one to celebrate Valentines day, but last week the New Zealand Artisan Susan Wong blow my mind this stamp set HERE creating the sweetest memory keeping layout and showed how to use this stamp set in a non Valentines way.
With that clever idea in mind I got started on my card. We all have a friend who is your “rock” our go to when times get rough, the sounding board when you just need to vent and you know there is no judgment, just tissues if you need them and when they know it is safe they will give you advise or the hard truth. This card is for THAT friend to me, she is not a cardmaker and in fact she does not really understand my love of papercraft but she knows I love it. The greeting you + me = is actually a great stamp because you can add so many things to it, I have then stamped the image from Sale-A-Bration set “A Happy Thing” Our friendship is a very happy thing. Going back to Susan from last week you make her’s you + me = Family I mean just think how many ways you can use that stamp! To think I did not like the set in the beginning.
I have a very simple layout, with a little washi tape…. which I must say I LOVE that stuff! Under the friendship line is a very thin strip of Silver Glimmer Paper and in real life looks amazing {If I say so myself} The design being simple is again coming back to the person receiving it, she is very too the point in life and very much less is more so I know she will like it is more on the simple side.
Just a simple card today but I am happy with it, now hop over to Vicky from the UK and see what her creation is for this week.
Aww, thanks for the special mention. Blown away at inspiring YOU! I love your card – so simple, so awesome.
