Welcome to the Artisan Blog Hop, the last for January. Many of the Artisan’s are together in Orlando at Stampin’ Up! Leadership Convention and I am beyond jealous that I am not with them but I will be stalking them on Instagram.
With Valentines day close approaching I thought I should create something heart/love related, I used You Plus Me Stamp Set with I also used here at the start of January, to my surprise I really like this stamp set as normal I am not a lover of Valentines Stamps but this years release of Valentines for Stampin’ Up! Are excellent and not over the lot. I am a totally a typography geek! I get so excited over fonts {that is the designer in me} I just LOVED the style of “twitterpated” I HAD to use that stamp to create a funky little card.
I used Stacked with Love Designer DSP Paper Stack, have your realised Stampin’ Up! Are now creating smaller paper stacks, they are 11.4cm x 16.5cm. The perfect card maker size and I even have friends who love this size to create Project Life or Memory Keeping filler cards for the albums. One of the designs in the stack is white with black printed X and O’s, I really wanted to use this design as I am giving this card to my youngest niece and we always play tic, tac, toe on my iPad however it was a little too “white” I have taken my light Calypso Coral Blendabilitie to colour over the paper, as shown below.
I am going to create a project life page about our love of tic, tac, toe with these papers, I have so many photos over years of us playing so I thought I could share one of my little cutie thinking about her first move, she taken it very serious and I will admit I used to yet her win most of the time and help her pick a move however now I think she lets me win sometimes. LOL
I challenge those who do not normally give Valentines card, to give a little note to some of the people you care about, I give me nieces card every year and normally a little something from Smiggle their favourite store but even without the gift, your card will be appreciated.
Now I am done! Thank you for spending a few moment of your day with my little corner of the web, now you can head off to the amazing Vicky who will wow you with her creative genius.
