It has been an exciting week, the new Stampin Up! Catalogue was released, click the cover below to view online. The catalogue is packed full of amazing new stamps, Designer Series Paper [DSP] and tools. Today I am joining my fellow Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team members for a blog hop highlighting 3 of the new punches, I have used 2 of the three in a cute gift wrapping project.
One of the new tools in a Gift Bag Punch Board, I am a massive fan of “pretty” gift wrapping and make it known to my family I am happy to take care of all the gift wrapping… with the exception of gifts for me. The bag I have made is a medium in the video below that will make sense, I also used a new stamp set called “Birthday Yay” it is a cute set! I have clear embossed the 6 and candles.
The DSP I have used is from a new 6×6 inch paper stack called “Cherry on Top” the colours are so fun.
Here is a video from Stampin’ Up! Explaining more on the Gift Bag Punch Board:
I followed most of the steps in the video, I did not punch the holes and I wanted to show a variation so I designed mine to have a flap closing:
Prepare bag as per normal add 1 1/4″ to the height of your bag base for the flap, line the first edge to the start line and punch…. punch and score the horizontal line.
Move cardstock for the second score line to join up at the start line and punch then score the marked horizontal line right across the length of the bag base.
Remove the bag base from the punch board and trim off the excess cardstock from the second score line as shown.

Really fun bag, Teneale. Perfect for a gift or party goodie bag. Love that board & the banner punch. Hope you’re having a great week in your new room.
