I did warn you a few weeks ago that will be making LOTS of baby cards for all my friends who pregnant, so far only little boys have arrived but I have placed a receive for a little girl soon {wink, wink} girls are much more fun to make cards for. Pretty much I was told to go away by one {but not quite using those words} and another said they just want a happy and healthy baby which really… how can I disagree with that.
This time around for little Cody I have used Cheerful Critters which is in the Occasions catalogue and TOTALLY CUTE. I used the other images in the set {bunny and chick} for Easter project which you will see in a very soon but I love stamp sets that I can use in different ways for many occasions, my nieces love this set also and they have added to their growing wish list of stamps {No really the youngest has a written wish list and Catalogue’s marked with what she owns already}
I felt that the bear needed a little more height so I stamped a extra image using only from under the arms and down. I stamped the image on Crumb Cake cardstock in Jet Black StazOn and coloured the image with a blender pen in Whisper White and Island Indigo re-inker for the shirt, Crumb Cake and Baked Brown Sugar for the fur and a little Blushing Bride on the ears. I really like the look of the watercolouring on the Crumb Cake cardstock.
I created the background by brushing Island Indigo re-inker with a aqua painter down Crumb Cake cardstock, the piece I coloured was larger then I needed so I could trim the edges giving me a full flow of colour.
I added the pattern using the circle mask, attached to my work surface with washi tape. I traced the circle outline with a Lost Lagoon marker then did a little scribble through the center.
This blog post is linked into the Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team blog hop, 16 designers from around the world, next up is the AMAZING Vicky from the UK.
