This is a bonus blog hop from the Artisan team as we have 5 Thursdays in October, I love seeing what the other Artisan girls create each Thursday.
Halloween is just one day away, in Australia is not really celebrated but in the past few years I have seen more people have parties or kids coming around to trick or treat. I am a fan of Halloween I must say, I think its dressing up and I do love creating for a party or a fun theme.
I needed to create some fast Halloween projects and I was limited in my Halloween supplies, so I pulled out my Seasonal Snapshots from Project Life By Stampin’ Up! card collection and accessories. Straight away I was taken with the window sheet inside the accessory kit with “scare up some fun” I have not really used printed window sheets before so there was a little procrastinating as I thought how to use it, then a brain wave struck and you can see what that was…yes, the eyes behind the text. I have stamped the eyes from Freaky Friends Stamp Set.
To cover the Stampin’ Dimensionals between the window sheets and stamped Basic Black Cardstock I trimmed away the inside of a Project Life Journaling card creating the frame you see above. The epoxy sticker is from the accessory pack and the flog with October 31 is also a journaling card I trimmed.
To go along with my card is this little gift that I know my friend who is receiving this will use at her halloween party on the “treats” table, I felt like part of this Project Life kit was created just for me as it would so perfect for what I had in mind: Eat. Drink and be scary! and No Trick, Just Treats. I have filled a small jar with some pumpkin chocolate balls to keep the sticks from falling over, however I am thinking people are going to want to eat the chocolate so maybe that was not the greatest idea in the world!
You may be thinking this is too late for me to create for Halloween or you don’t know this kit yet! Well use this as inspiration for later, not think of Project Life as just Memory Keeping with the amount of cards you receive in each kit you can easier take a few for fast cards and project, I had both these made in under 1 hour which is SUPER fast for me 🙂
