For the Men

Fathers Day (Sunday 1st September for the Australian and New Zealand followers) seems to have crept up on me! The only thing I have prepared is a card, I may be able to help if you are behind the 8 ball also or even looking for some male card inspiration as they are the hardest cards to make! Some of my Fancy Friday friends are sharing card ideas “For The Men”.

As I said above, male cards are tricky for me to make as I just want to keep adding more and I have a very feminine style. I try my best to keep it simple as you can see in my card below, I have clear embossed the main image from Garden Shed Cling Stamp Set on Sahara Sand A4 Card Stock.

I played around with a few different ribbons and threads wrapped around the card and they just did not look right. I ended up using my Basic Black Dark Stampin’ Blends to colour the Linen Thread.

The greeting for the front I have used is from A Wish For Everything Cling Stamp Set and is such a wonderful set if you are a greeting collector like me, I can never get enough good ‘word’ sets and I never part with them.

Here is inside the card, I have stamped the pot plant in Crumb Cake in the corner and over the top in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad stamped “This day is yours” which is from Rare Blessings Cling Stamp Set.
