CASE Study 110

September 27, 2012

"Stippled Blossoms" "Loving Thoughts" "Ex Libris" "French Foliage" "Daring Adventure"

Oh my internet! We are not getting on at the moment and sending my crazy! I have no idea of the problem and its seams nor does my internet provider. I never realised how much I relay on internet in my everyday life and without it! Can be stressful and don’t even get me started on coping without Pinterest, I say that laughing BUT really I think I have a problem!

September is nearing the end and this brings the LAST week with the talented Torico as our muse! It’s the last chance to CASE her gorgeous work guilt-free, so let’s get cracking! It would be great to see you join the fun.

I was really excited to work with this card, I could see some great elements to case. The layout was very basic but it worked well with a new background stamp I had just brought myself from Stampin’ Up! Called Ex Libris, I know that was going to be the base of my layout. I really liked the pearls descending down the center of the card, I am a little boring I think and have never thought of using them in this way. I am a layer girl so even thou I was using a background stamp for a large part of the design I stamped it out three times twice in Midnight Muse and once in Crumb Cake to create layers of the stamped image, you can see the layers clearly in the finished card below.

Inside the card, I have stamped the background so I could frame the inside panel, at the bottom I have stamped a friends verse from the “friends words” jumbo wheel that I removed from the wheel and attached to cling foam {see pg 7 of the Aust Cat} then cut up the wheel so I had separate friendship related greetings and verses. You can see on the Vanilla card stock I have very lightly stamped the text from Daring Adventure in Crumb Cake and also the splodge from French Foliage.

absolutely stunning, didnt realise that you had done the three layering effect, should have though, your work is always layering, sometimes wonder how you can make all of your cards so beautiful, but you do.

You made the Ex Libris stamp a true show stopper! I too must order it. what stamp was used for the bottom inside of the card. You should be doing the cards in the catalog, such talent is hard to find. you have truly inspired me to find my softer side.
