CASE Study 112

October 14, 2012

Grad Congrats By Teneale Williams, Great news www.tenealewilliams.com.au now has been updated and you can subscribe to email updates.

I have wonderful news for many, I have been blogging for 6 years and never had an option to subscribe to email notifications of my blog updates, over the years I have had SO many emails asking if I have this option! Well after replying to many email over this time I decided I was going to put my “big girl panties” on and work it out! I am not very “technically minded” or good with all “that” computer stuff however funny enough I am one of those Gen Y’s and it is kind of “expected” that we are up to date with all the “cool” ways to communicate like Facebook, Tweeter and Instram! I am clearly just not that hip and happening {which is kind of no surprise to me} ANYWAY, after getting the most fabulous guidance from Heather Wright-Porto at blogsbyheather, a HUGE thanks to Heather for helping me out. Heather was suggests by Amy Celona. OMG Heather has the most amazing service and SO helpful, if you are looking for blog/web design or hosting then Heather is your girl! Check her out here: www.blogsbyheather.com

It has been a crazy few days with lots happening which I will save you from as it really is very boring, so  I am a little late in posting my CASE Study card here on my blog, it has been on the CASE Study blog since Thursday when the challenge  started. I had recorded with my Teneale Cam the process of me creating this card but it had I shown you the video would of just seen lots of printed paper get wasted and my fingers tapping on the table as I think of my next move! It was a mess, a mess I tell you!

What inspired me?

The measuring tapes at the bottom of the card came from the measuring tape on the muse sample, believe it or not the layout {this is where it all went wrong} however I have just adjusted the proportions and added some layers.  I created the Congrats Grad button as a CASE from the muse card where a flower was make, I was going to have it to the  off centered but it just did not look right. I normally make a card knowing I would use the card at some point in the near future however I know a handful of friends and customers that have children about to graduate from year school in the coming weeks before or after they do their HSC exams.

Grad Congrats By Teneale Williams, Great news www.tenealewilliams.com.au now has been updated and you can subscribe to email updates.

I realise the inside of the card is not that exciting but I think with this kind of card the message is very important,  I was not sure what to put inside in respect of a greeting so I started flicking the catalogue to find something suitable and on page 76 I found it a greeting from “Best of Everything”  it was similar to something my Fabulous Mother said to me back when I was nearing my own granulation and deciding what I wanted my next move to be  “All I want for you is the best of everything”

Teneale, I loved hearing how you were inspired by that card! That’s one thing I always enjoy, seeing others’ perspective on something. This is beautifully put together, and love the colors.

Thanks SO much for your good wishes regarding Hurricane Sandy, that you left on my blog. My family is just fine, and are amazed that we were spared. We’re only about 50 miles from the Jersey shore line, so expected much worse.
