CASE Study 116

November 15, 2012

I am someone who loves Christmas time, I love seeing neighbors starting to hang Christmas lights, driving at night and seeing the homes all lite up, I love walking through the shopping center and hearing Christmas carols playing, the only music I play from about this point in the year is Christmas Carols and one thing I love most of all is signing my Christmas Carols at the top of my voice in my car and being looked at when I pull up at traffic lights, I feel like everyone is just has happy and cheerful at this time of the year.

I start making Christmas Cards in July and make a few each month so by the time December rolls around I am all set to post out my Christmas cards. I have a few people who always get special cards from me, unlike my cards I start in July that are made in bulk and simple in design, my special cards are one off cards like this one I made for one of my biggest supporters.

Inspiration can sometimes be an issue when life is busy and I am time poor but still have grand ideas which one thing that comes hand in hand with Christmas! Thank goodness for Challenge sites like CASE Study! They provide us with wonderful inspiration. We are up to CASE Study 116 which is crazy and we still have the sweet  Angeline Yong, as the November Muse.

The muse sample for this week is to the left, it has great elements to inspire us! I was taken with the layout it was so simple and I liked the image hanging over the top. I took that layout idea and used it mine is shown with the night star hanging over the end of the stamped layer. Also with the background of the stamped layer Angeline has use a check pattern over her stamping layer, I like that change of not using plain old White and Vanilla. I have created my background by masking of each section and lightly brayed over the masked sessions.

Stamps: First Christmas {Christmas Catty}

Ink: VersaMark, Crumb Cake and Midnight Muse

Cardstock/Papers: Crumb Cake, Midnight Muse and Very Vanilla

Other: Brayer, Champagne Shimmer Paint spray mixer and Scallop Dot Punch

    A couple of questions,
    1.What stamps did you use for the background of the rays?
    2.Did you use the Champagne Shimmer Paint spray on the crumb cake CS only?
