It has been an eventful week for me with some exciting opportunities presenting themselves, my lips are seals for the moment however! I am now completely in the Christmas spirit, most of my decorations are now hung and most of my shopping is done, I have my most favourite job left to do! Wrap all my gifts so they look beautiful under the tree with huge bows and fabulous tags.
Not only am I in the Christmas Spirit but Christmas is all I can think about in the way of cardmaking, I felt like I was prepared with my Christmas cards then I prepared my list and oh o boy was I wrong! I have taken this chance like the past two weeks to use my CASE Study challenge to make Christmas cards.
This is the first week of December, so you know that means a new Muse to inspire us for the month… Please welcome Windy Robinson!! Woohoo!! Check out her blog here: windyrobinson.blogspot.com For those not familiar with the name, she’s a PC Magazine Go-To-Gal, she also designs for Spellbinders and Zva Creative. You should see her card to the left, it is a great card with so many elements that can inspire us, I am so excited for December.
For this weeks challenge I was taken with elements of her layout, I did not have the same dies however I played around with the dies and shapes I did have, the back layer in actually a die cut tag from the Holiday Catalogue and I have used the reverse side of the tag. I kept the “low” bow but off centered mine and were Windy has used that thin greeting under the bow, I have placed mine on the main image. I have kept the card very simple because I will be making a few more of these I need them easy to make. The layering of the stamped images come from Shelli from here.
Well here is my card! If you have time please play with us at CASE Study along this week:
