Happy Thursday my lovely blog readers, I hope you are having a wonderful week! Mine has been delightful just in case you are wondering, I think it is related to the excitement of the weeks drawing closer to Stampin’ Up! Convention in Canberra! It is one of my highlights of the year, catching up with my Stampin’ Up! friends, making new ones, finding out exciting news about a company that I LOVE, see and playing with NEW products, getting FREE stamps, tips to assistant my development and most important the make and takes {You know I love stamping}….. One other important highlight is swapping cards with fellow demonstrators, it is great sharing ideas and seeing the talent within the Stampin’ Up! family, I will admit I have been stressing myself out for weeks over my swaps deciding which stamp set should I use, what colours, how much work do I want to put into each card… Oh the decisions, well last Saturday I got myself to a point that if I was going to get them make in time for Convention to start on May 31st I needed to pull my finger out and design the swap! Finally I made up my mind and have started making them, I am only making 20 but they are quite detailed so fingers crossed the people I swap with like them. I will post a pic on here once I have given them all away in my Convention wrap up. I hope if you are attending convention and reading this you have also started your swaps, if not you better get going on them! {lol} If you are attening also leave me a comment so I know who to keep an eye out for!
I have highjacked this CASE Study post talking about SU! convention, sorry I really am excited! I guess that must show how boring my life is {lol} anyway on to CASE Study, it is week 2 with our May Muse Agnieszka Malyszek, to the left you will see her sample to inspire us for this week, again what a great card which can be taken in many different ways. I have kept it simple like last week and again I was inspired by the layout the a large white space at the top and a heavy band at the bottom, on Agnieszka‘s card the band looks like it is corrugated so I took this element and added the pleated and wrapped string around which come from the greeting on the corrugated layer.
The colours also played a part on my card with the Vanilla cardstock and Blushing Bride which is my FAVE pink of all time and I am buying up on before it retire’s in September {sooner if you live in the US or Can}, I added a Crumb Cake as the card base. This was also a good chance for me to make a baby card for a friend of mine who just had a little girl, really I need to make a few more as I it seems to be baby season at the moment and I know of 8 babies that have been born in the past 4 weeks.
