Put your hands up if you are LOVING this short week its Thursday already {Ca BOOM}, the only down side was I spent my Queens Birthday public holiday feeling very “icky” thanks to a lovely tummy bug from my neice’s… I know there is that old saying “Sharing is Caring” but not everything needs to be shared {lol} Bailey my oldest neice had it first and she was actually taken to hospital she got so sick, being the fabulous sister that I am I took little Ebony with me so my sister could take care of Bailey. Ebony and I were having a great time over the weekend playing and crafting away she even helped with a video then Sunday night she jumped into my bed which I did not mind able because really who does not like a cuddle from a little sweetheart. Well about 4 am I wake up as my poor little sweetheart “got the bug” if you know what I mean all over me! Being that I am only an Aunty and not a “Mummy” I don’t normally deal with this type of situation often or {well} A small part of me wanted to ran the length of the house screaming that’s gross and freaking out but don’t worry, I have a heart! I just let her get it all out then we BOTH had a much need shower, needless to say a few hours later the “bug” had got to me also. Monday was then spent watching all the Toy Story Video’s with Ebony cuddling into me.
After losing a good few days under the weather, I had a little catch up to play! Part of the catch up was making my CASE Study card so I did an almost all nighter to get it made in time. I can’t even begin to tell you how many pieces of paper I cut up and wasted making this card! I am not a fast cardmaker at the best of times and normally I have a good idea in my head of what I am doing. I don’t know if it was my brain thinking you should be sleeping but it was just not happening. I was sticking and stamping wrong, nothing was straight…. I am now getting all stressed just thinking about it all over again! I was done around 4am but I am SO not saying how many hours it took but I got there.
To the left you would see the muse sample for this week that is set to inspire us, now that I have had sleep I have lots of better ideas in my head and thinking I could of come up with something much better. It is a interesting design and leads to many creative paths. I loved the cut out lattice design down the left, which I did not have anything to cut out the card stock I did have a lattice like printed paper. I liked the splatted of pearls that our June Muse, Joy Taylor used however I just never get my placement looking right, I have used the element and added the bling on the top right of my card and on the flower with the tea cups. I did not want to use a flower for the main feature of the card but wanted to take elements for it, so I have used the same placement and the flower petals have a scallop edge so I backed the circle to a Dollie die cut and at the bottom of the post I have a little video about the Dollie.
You know I like to finish the card with an inside that takes elements from the front of the card and leaves a little space to write a message, I really do not like my hand writing so the less room the better! Please I never have clever words to say! Most people who receive a card from me know how I feel about my hand writting, I have made it pretty clear over the years. I wish I could write like Kristina Werner …Oh to dream of having such a talent! If you have time this week please join us at CASE Study and play along, right now pop over to the CASE Study blog to see the other DT Cards and checkout the players cards.

Hello My Friend! How are you? I just wanted to let you know we are all thinking of you and your mom, and your dad (although never met him:) There is always a bed here should you decide to venture this way you know:) I thought I should also let you know this card brightened my day, it’s beautiful!!! HUGE HUGS!
What a fantastic Aunty you are. I have many nieces and nephews and they loved coming to our house for a sleep over so I know how you felt. Two daughters latter I still could give that job a miss. Love your card, love how you finish off the inside (as I told when I got to chat to you at convention we do that to our cards now because of you). Hope you are back to feeling better, sending healing hugs your way
I love this card. I don’t have this stamp set, but I will try to do something similar with this colour combo. Teneale I can not craft when I’m tired..which is most of the time..lol due to medication.. So how you produced this beautiful card after the night you had, I do not know. So credit to you, and I hope you both feel much better now.
One of your grateful followers!!
Kind Regards
Julie X
Oh My Goodness – your post had me cracking up! Don’t worry, as I Mum I still find the whole being sick thing gross and I’m sure you dealt with your sick niece better than I deal with my own children! LOL. Awesome Aunty Ten!
Well…as you know for many years I have stalked your blog & get uber excited when there is something new…so excited when I open my iPad this morning whilst sipping my tea, it missed my mouth, and it went straight down the front of me! See what you do to me! You know you can see me doing that right!? I’m also posting before I even go and get changed!
This is beautiful. I love the colours & the video tutorial…too amazing. Now I even get to hear your voice….ok stalking getting weird, sorry! Hahaha. And, nothing better required, this is so lovely this card, it’s probably there for a favourite…mind you I think that about every new card!
Hope you are both feeling a bit better and chat soon.
