Well, well, well! What a week, my goodness! Iam a very busy little bee I must say as I sit with my very long to do list next to me I am excited as in a few minutes I can mark off that I have posted my CASE Study {YAY}, then I am out the door for the post office to mail out new Catalogues and some cards for friends/ customers who are in need of a surprise! Handmade card in the mail. It is a busy time of year with the changeover of catalogues, on the weekend I had my retirement party for the stamps that are “retiring” in now only a few days {See the retirement list at the bottom of the post}. I offered a product bundle for one of my make and takes from the party using Pendant Park as a Christmas set, well this offer is still standing so check it out here and get ready for Christmas now and have a stamp set you can use all year round.
I really should move on the topic at hand which is the CASE Study for this week, as we are still celebrating out 2nd Anniversary at CASE Study we are mixing things up a bit, we don’t have a Muse this month we are looking at the past to get inspired, this week we are casing a past player, we can pick someone who has summited a card over the past 2 years and case them. I have selected Maureen Merritt, her card can be seen to the left and HERE is her post.
I was taken with her card it has a great layout and is clean! I had idea’s popping in my head straight away when I saw it. I think you can see what inspired me! The layout, I like balance and this design is simple but has a little impacted with the flag coming out from behind the circle. Maureen has a Top Note shape card but I have just kept mine to a normal card size. I have used the string element to attach my greeting tag.
The background effect was created very easy by cutting out the leaf shape with a Sizzix die and attached the leafs to the same tone card stock {Old Olive} I cut the leafs out with adhesive sheets already attached so it make it really quick to create the background.
Inside the card I have just a cut leaf and a greeting, which I must say I love this greeting for Birthdays.
Hope you like my take on Maureen Merritt‘s card, check out the rest of the team and other players cards here at CASE Study.

I love this, Teneale! What a great masculine card, and you are reminding me to use my little leaves die.
Stunning! Simply stunning! You do amazing work and watch for new updates daily! Thank you! 🙂
Gorgeous Teneale, I was searching the catalogue for that “embossing folder”! Tone on tone works really well!
