As I sit and type this Christmas message to you, my blog readers it is the early hours of Christmas morning, I have finally wrapped all the gifts, I LOVE wrapping and every year I offer my wrapping services to my Mum, Sister and Santa {wink, wink} for me to wrap their gifts besides the items they are giving me of course, I do like a little surprise on Christmas Morning. I have used 3 rolls of sticky tape and 7 rolls of wrapping paper, I have lost count of how many rolls of ribbon I used as you should be aware I have a little obsession with ribbon and pretty bows.
This month I was {trying} to taking photos and notes for Project Life/Hello December, I really enjoyed it, which is a surprise to me but I realised it made me so much more aware of our little family traditions that we have that we did automatically and then had us talking about our memories when we were kids, the foods Mum used to prepare and the family we celebrated with on Christmas Day.
If you are not sure what Hello December Christmas is all about…
Here Stampin’ Up! will explain.
I also found it made my sister and I aware of how roles have changed as we have gotten older, my Sister {Terrianne} is the official Christmas Chef, where I take care on all the decorating and what I would say is the fun stuff {wrapping, craft, planning events} also love being Santa’s helper, putting the gifts out to be found by excited little girls in the morning and tasting the treats they left out for Santa and his Reindeer’s.
I love that my “craftness” has rubbed off on my nieces and you can see in the blow image my niece Bailey with a Christmas Tag she created for her mum.
The moments this year have been the drives at night with my sister and nieces to go looking at Christmas Lights, we have been out twice but they have been a great time as we chatter between houses, we had a few games of dare’s which I will explain when I share my final Hello December pages after Christmas. We also created our own Christmas Song, it is hilarious {well to the four of us} as we drove on one of the outings, which reminds me that I should write that next hit song down!
If you live any where near Rouse Hill, you want to head to Noble Way! This was the most amazing light display, WOW!
I am pretty sure I will be back before the end of 2014 to post my Hello December album with you, I have the photos taken and now I just need to print and pop in the page protectors and make them a {little and I do mean little} more pretty.
Now I better get a few hours sleep before my nieces wake up and the whole house to open all the gifts!
