Am I the only one scared that….. School is breaking up in only 2 days for almost 6 weeks! but it is time for the kids to farewell their teachers they have had all year long and some kids they are leaving primary school for high school next year. When I was cute and little and attending primary I would gave my teacher’s a gift at the end of the year….. I think it was only one year I did not give a gift because I really did not like my year 5 teacher….I just wish I could think of her name! Anyway, I made this cute little boxes with 4 Hershey Nuggets inside for my niece Bailey who has just finished kindergarten to give to some of her teachers and office ladies, then I made a bunch for the markets to sell. It is match box style and I stamped letters all over the Real Red card stock creating a fun background, the apple was created with the tab punch, the seeds are the flame from the cupcake punch and the bird punch was used for the leaf. I think they turned out super cute. No.1 is from Grunge Rock {page 60 AU} and teacher is from For My Family {page 110 AU}. Bailey has not given these out to the teachers yet so I hope they are not reading this ….{Mrs Manning, Mrs Goodwin and Miss Scott look away} Smile…..
I know many who read my blog are teachers, so I would love to hear what you think the best gifts are the receive and tales of the worst gifts you have been given. Or if you have made something for a teacher this year and are happy to share the idea please leave a comment with the idea and if you blog yourself and have it post share the link.
See you all tomorrow for my CASE Study post and day 4 of Christmas create down…….
One of the best gifts I ever received was a gift voucher from the local craft store (in my pre Stampin’ Up! days). His Mum’s words on the card were beautiful…”Thank you for taming our boy, but letting him still be himself”…That Kinder boy has just finished Year 12, was School Captain last year and won the Pierre de Coubertain sports excellence award. I was a very proud ex-Kindy teacher sitting in the audience last night…I have no tales of worst gifts, because even if I didn’t particularly like the gift, each one was given with love from the child – and that’s pretty special.
WOW Marion – that’s awesome! That gives me hope for my graduating kindy boy!I have made teacher gifts this year – one was a scrapbook for a teacher who was leaving and I put in class photos and drawings and hand prints from the students. (Funny how in year 2 they still love doing that!) Every teacher has cried that I have made a gift for – so that’s nice.
Ten – Love this gift idea – and the way you have used the punch – very clever! Teachers are so special and this is such a perfect gift. Thanks for sharing. XX
Today I received a pack of 6 different coloured whiteboard markers and a giant pack of staedtler fineliners……my kids know me well……LOL…..love your gift though, too cool
You are so clever, I just love this. Your attention to detail is amazing.
My kids had male teachers this year, so I gave them both two bottles of wine!
My SIL, who is a teacher, gets a Christmas Ornament from one family with the year on it – I think she has 3 ornaments as she has taught their 3 children! This cute little box you have made you could put the year on it and a hanging thingee and they could then hang it on their Christmas Tree each year. Just loving/enjoying your Christmas Create Down Teneale, your work is awesome!
First let me say your ideas are awesome and love seeing what comes next. After reading the comments I thought the gift could be used also as small 25 gifts to the teacher??? Put in a cute bag or box and then they can have fun.
I linked to this great post of yours from my blog, which has some other ideas for teacher gifts. I love the candy box, a sweet, thoughtful, inexpensive gift!
