I made this card for my oldest niece Bailey for her teacher,
this year she started at a new school that has a strong focus on faith
her teacher has just been so wonderful with helping Bailey adjust
to a new school with much different rules and culture to her past school.

In my last post I advised on how in Australia we now offer My Digital Studio {MDS}
I have been using the My Digital Studio for a few months now
and
Yes… it’s LOVE
………………
I see a whole different range of uses creating hybird cards,
off the page item, home decor and even start scrapbooking again
……………
As you know I am a layers kind of girl,
when others heard that I was so crazy in love with MDS
they were surprised that I felt that way.
…….
I always think I have a different way of looking at things…
Creative or even innovative you may say!
………………….
…………………
I will not be changing my lots of layers style at all.
I hope I can inspire you
to join me for this new creative journey.
……………

If you have been living under a rock and not been to her blog
Then pop over to Heather’s blog and see what she can do with MDS

Side note:
If you go to Google Heather Summers
you will find that you should do
“Heather Summers Stampin’ Up!”
Because
There is a Heather Summers of the “Adult entertainment kind”
and
I clicked on that other Heather Summers by mistake once
and boy oh boy did I blush!!!
…………………
……………….
…………………….
You can see I have printed the flowers and the background papers,
using my home printer.
…………..
I have used on Very Vanilla Cardstock, Crumb Cake Ink for sponging
and I stamped the ink splodge for “French Foliage” real stamps
over my printing in Crumb Cake Classic Ink.
………..
…………
You can see below, I have taken a few screen shots
Providing a visual aid
This is the front of the card
……………
…….
……..
Well I do love my layers, so I started by opening
“Bunch Of Background Stamp Brush Set – Digital Download” $6.50
I have added “Well Worn Words” from the above background bundle
the changed the colour to Crumb Cake
……………………….
…………………………………………………………………………………………
The next screen shot shows
I have added reduced the opacity to 25%
on the Crumb Cake layer from above
Arrow on the right shows the opacity section
…………………
Please note: on the above screen shot I have not coloured
the images yet, once I did they would have been to
hard to see on the screen.
………………………
Over the top of the 25% Crumb Cake Layer
I have placed Sanded,
which I will change to Whisper White at 45% opacity
……….
Then Wonderly Worn Whisper White to 45% opacity
…
All the backgrounds I have used at in the one bundle
I have placed a cross next to the used backgrounds.
…………….
….
WHY add the layers, you may be thinking?
I wanted a softer background and to add greater distressing
………..
.
So at this point
I hope you are not feeling like this…
………
…………
Moving on….
…………
I could not decide the colour I wanted to use
I have found that my home printed is a little
lighter then what the SU! Colours really are,
so I printed Bashful Blue, Old Olive and Island Indigo strips
of the Well Worn Words background.
……….
…………
………..
Once I printed and cut the layers down I sponged with Crumb Cake ink
add 5/8 INCH CROCHET TRIM VICTORIA across the front.
…………….
……….
…………….
Inside the card was pretty simple,
I have left room for my sister to write a message to the teacher
at the bottom I placed an Easter verse
I found via Google {no it is not a digital stamp}
………………..
Here is a screen shot on the inside….
…….
…………….
………………
So what do you think?
Two thumbs up!
Noooo…… Stop it!
