Enjoy… and blog candy

September 17, 2008

….Sorry for being a bad blogger, This hole blogging thing can be intimidating…What happens is I make a card, I take the photo then as I go to upload it I think to myself….It’s not good enough to blog, Make a better one tomorrow, tomorrow comes and I think the same thing… Its like a never ending cycle. I do realise I am my touchiest critic and I need to get more confident in myself, I am going to be brave and update everything I make even if I don’t like it and I will be positive about my work.

Inspired by today’s card “enjoy the little things” and my mission to be more positive I thought I would offer some blog candy, If you have not noticed by now but I kind of LOVE ribbon and I thought it was fitting to give a packet of Stampin’ Up! “Sherbet” Ribbon Originals for my blog candy.

What do you need to do to win????

Leave me a comment telling me what are the little things you enjoy… I’ll draw one lucky winner on Sunday 21st Sept 11pm Sydney time, Open to all

I enjoy blurfing in the a.m. with a cup of coffee; seeing my dauchshund running “crazy circles” when she is happy and having leftovers for supper so I don’t have to think about what to make. Don’t be so hard on yourself, if you make a card post it. I enjoy them all. jmniffer

The little things I enjoy, there are quite a lot of those for me so here are just a few for you:

~I enjoy the morning walks down to the bus stop with my 3 children every morning, just because it is usually crisp clean air and you get to enjoy it before a lot of the neighbours are up.

~I enjoy watching my dd (who is 20 mos) explore her world differently than her brothers did.

~I enjoy watching my children grow up

~I enjoy making cards for people just because…

~I enjoy those snuggle times with my dh at night when all the kids are in bed.

~I enjoy my coffee/hot chocolate times in the morning when I read my e-mail

~I enjoy spending time with all my friends

Okay I think that is enough for now :)!

    Hugs,
    catherine

I enjoy tucking my kids into bed at night. I enjoy a great diet coke with lemon at my favorite restaurant. I really popped by to say how much I love your card! I “enjoy” it very much!

I enjoy spending time with my husband and kids. I enjoy me time, when I can scrapbook or make cards in peace. I enjoy being with friends. I enjoy blogsurfing and looking at the creations of others. I enjoy learning new things. I enjoy getting up in the morning to a beautiful sunny day! 🙂

  6. Marelle Taylor says: September 18, 2008 at 8:01 am

YAY! She lives!! I enjoy spending time with you! I had fun yesterday 🙂
Everything you make is blog-worthy…actually it would be a relief if you posted something ugly, so we’d know you are human!! LOL

  7. Tegan says: September 18, 2008 at 8:11 am

I have to say Teneale, I do not leave comments on everything I see-generally only if it catches my eye. Well this card certainly caught my eye because it is absolutely beautiful! Gorgeous colours and layout. It looks fantastic! Believe in yourself…not everything has to be perfect, and what looks imperfect to you, most likely looks amazing to someone else. You are right- we are our own worst critic!

    I enjoy-
-mocha’s in the morning before school
    -good music
    -long walks in the summer
    -making cards fullstop 🙂
-browsing the stampin’ up! catty even though i know i can’t afford it all LOL
    …the list would be endless.

I love making lists, but especially ones like this. It puts everything into perspective.

    Smile, and mean it 😀

Teneale, your *worst* card is better than many of the things that I have seen posted on SCS or other people’s blogs….you totally rock and I for one would love to see something from you everyday!
As for the little things….I enjoy having my first coffee of the day out on my patio, with the sun shining on my face and the birds singing in the background, talking to my nieces and nephews on the phone (especially when they say “lub ooo Kissy”, and of course ribbon…lots and lots of ribbon…LOL!
    Have a wonderful day,
    Kristie

  20. Karen Thomas says: September 19, 2008 at 10:07 am

    Hi Teneal!

I love your card – it’s so pretty! Please don’t be intimidated when blogging. I make crap things from time to time (actually quite often if I am honest enough to admit it! lol), but put it up anyways – cause ya know………something we hate, someone else might get inspiration from it……….and if thats the case FANTASTIC!

But something that I enjoy…………..I would honestly have to say that I really enjoy my own company. I am not someone who likes to be around people all the time (weird I know, but have always been like that)so I really enjoy being at home and just pottering!

I also enjoy having my first morning coffee while watching Mel and Koche on Sunrise in the morning! lol

    Have a great day!

    Karen

    Teneale,

I’m new to this stampin’ world and yours was one of the first blogs I found a few months ago. Love your creations!! Some of the little things I enjoy…thinking outside the box, butterflies visiting my garden, breaks in the hammock, text messages from my kids. Thanks for asking!

    Peace,
    Marcia

  23. MichelleD says: September 19, 2008 at 10:46 am

I think the best thing about cardmaking as a hobby is that not everything has to be a masterpiece! Sometimes you have to be brave and say, “hey, it was an idea I had, and it didn’t quite fly, but you get that in life!” And, as others have said above me, you never quite know what inspiration someone else might take from something you consider to be a bit ordinary 🙂 Truly, I am yet to see a Teneale creation that’s ‘not good enough to blog’ – so there’s a challenge to you! Inspire us all with your worst dud!

What I enjoy – chocolate tops the list, along with peace and quiet to stamp up a storm or read a good book. Lazy weekends pottering about tidying up loose ends also gives me a happy satisfaction. I also enjoy having a clean house, not so much to process to get it that way!!

    Hi Teneale

I love your card in fact I’m going to CASE it tonite when I get the kids into bed! Don’t be scared to blog something you are unsure of I do it all the time!. Now something I enjoy mmm…. I would have to agree with Karen I enjoy my own company especially with small children at home all day I love that time at night when they go to bed and I can hopefully sit and stamp and if not sit and there be total silence…………bliss…. I must add I do also love my children…….lol……

    Happy stamping
    Mandyxx

    Hi Teneale,
Your work is beautiful, and even if you don’t like something, it may still be an inspiration to others (like me… 🙂 ).

    The little things I enjoy:
Seeing my little boy smile – check him out on my blog, his smile would light up any day!

Making cards and gifts for other people.

Teneale, it’s not possible for you to do something that’s not blogworthy. Your creations are simply stunning – each and every one of them – and in real life they are even more amazing. When I see them in the flesh I feel like I am catching up with old friends. I saw this one last night and it took my breath away, it was SO gorgeous.

I hope you do blog EVERY card/project you make, because I get disappointed when I check your blog and there are no new creations to feast my eyes on. And don’t let anyone discourage you in any way. We want to see you warts and all and know what you are up to.

    Lots of love, Robyn Little
