When I first flipped through the 2017/2018 Stampin’ Up! Catalogue I still remember my heart stopping a little when I arrived at page 163 to see Floral Statements! I am not joking, I fell in love! I ordered it in my first order, it did sit on my desk for a few weeks before giving it a little inky love.
When I watercolour I often use the Shimmer cardstock from SU! if I am going for a more vintage feel, I start by doing a watercolour wash in Crumb Cake around the stamped image and then colour the image.
Here is the inside, I stamped the top of the image on a little scrap shimmer cardstock and watercoloured before attaching behind the ripped corner. The photography is focused on the corner detail and this has made it a little hard to read the greeting inside the card, I just adore the words “You share so much, so gladly, so often… I’m blessed to have you in my life.” A perfect greeting when saying thanks to someone who gives so much to others. This card was designed for my classes this week so it was not created with someone in mind but I know so many that should receive this card.
