Yesterday I posted about my excitement of finally playing in a challenge with Freshly Made Sketches, my excitement turned to disappointment when I went to post my link of the official thread which closed on Monday. That is totally fine, I mean I use a challenge sometimes to give me a creative kick start. I used to be on the design team for TGIF Challenges back in the day, they have different theme challenges each Friday and I have been wanting to play along for a while also. Last week I noticed AMAZING cards from my sweet little NZ friend Paula Dobson, she used the Buffalo Check and upon further investigation, it was for a challenge at TGIF. I was locking in the challenge, it went straight on my to-do list over the weekend (yes, I am a list kind of person) .
Now, it is about this point that I throw my little buddy Paula under the bus (Love you, Paula) the actual challenge is about “Gingham Gala” but like my previously mentioned friend… I am taking a creative left and not using gingham, I have used Buffalo Check. Again, I am happy to have even created a mid-week card, so I am not going to be too hard on myself.
I love texture and layers, there are not suitable for all cards/people but I enjoy adding more and more. This card is 11 layers deep on the front, you can not see all the fine boards on some of the panels.
The Buffalo Check has been clear embossed, it just looks so good. The shine contrasts to the distressed layers.
The banner has been dry embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder with is my most used embossing folder.
Listed below are the products I used in the card, click on the item and be taken to my online store.

Wow, you DID throw me under the bus lol. I had trouble reading the brief but the team were very forgiving, hahahaha! Besides, YOU ended up using the same Buffalo Check. It’s just too good not to use for this challenge, right?! Lovely work as always Miss T. Hope you play again sometime! Love ya, P
What a stunning card! 🙂
