Stampin Up! are offering free shipping on orders over $65, it is a one day only offer for today 21st May 2024. Free shipping is to of my favourite words, I have already placed my order but I never really need much arm-twisting to buy more craft supplies.
It is only fitting I share a card using the bundle Crafting With You Bundle on a day that you can get free shipping to treat yourself to a few craft supplies. I have used this bundle on my last post HERE and it is a set I have used more often than I expected. This time around I used the embroidery hoop and thread spools.
It will come as no surprise that I am obsessed with the mini spools, if you have been here before you might have noticed all my photos have ribbon spools in the background. I collect ribbon spools.
In the dies that are part of the bundle, there is a little die to cut the spool and a die to cut paper to look like thread. I decided to use real thread, I will admit this kind of determined the colours I could use in the card based on the threads that matched my Stampin’ Up! cardstock. Side note; it was the fact that I could get ink, cardstock and accessories all in the same tone that made my fall in love with Stampin’ Up! almost 20 years ago.
To get the tone-on-tone look I wanted, I wiped my White craft ink pad over the Highland Heather cardstock to get a lighter tone and stamped the flower over the top in VesraMark. This is an old trick that I think I am sharing for the first time online, the ladies who attend my classes know all these little tricks I have.
