Just in case you have forgotten who I am as it has been weeks since my last blog post. Hello, my name is Teneale! I am a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator based in Sydney Australia and has spent way to much time in my playing in the garden and enjoying life to share photos of my cards but I have been stamping and making cards! Yesterday, I was giving a little kick up the behind on my Facebook page (are you following me yet? Click HERE to) by a follower to share something. I kind of love that people even noticed my absence and hated myself for being a slacker.
Anyway, I am back using ‘Forever Blossoms’ stamp set with an old technique that I can not for the life of my remember the name of! Goodness, I really am rusty. Forgetting the name of techniques.
I will update when someone much smarter than I, advised of what it is called. The concept is to stamp the image on multiple layers of cardstock so the image carries over the card.
- Cut your cardstock layers you plan to stamp on. I have only used 2 layers but you can add more!
- Position the layers and use temporarily attach them together.
- I placed my stamp on my Stamp the Stamparatus (the greatest creation ever) then lined up the layered cardstock.
- Ink the stamp up, I have used Basic Grey and close the Stamparatus arm down, applying pressure over the image.
- Lift the Stamparatus arm back, you will see the stamped image may not have transferred to the paper near the edges of each layer. It is fine, the thickness of the cardstock prevents the stamp connecting.
- Optional step to help reduce the gaps between layers. Remove the smallest layer and restamp the image without reinking.
- Separate the stamped layers and attach to cardstock to trim for mating. I have layered the top layer to Basic Grey cardstock, coloured with Blends and embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
- Re-attach the layers, playing attention to ensure the stamped image is aligned. I suggest using Stampin’ Dimensionals/ Foam Mount between these layers
The greeting was white embossed on Petal Pink cardstock using my {surprising} goto favourite ‘Happy Birthday’ stamp set and matching die from the Clubhouse Bundle.
I splatted white paint over the card which did not show so well in the photos above but I promise it looks good!
Inside the card is a different story, I got a little carried away with the splatter or maybe it was just I had taken my glasses off which made it hard for me to see where the splatter already was. I contemplated not sharing the inside because it was a hot mess but thanks to Photoshop I cleaned it up to share you. How is that for being overly honest.
