Beautiful Ride

I have not played along with the team at Global Design Project for a few weeks but I was able to carve away the time to play this week, just in time for a colour challenge. I will admit that colour challenges are my least favourite of all the challenges, I much more prefer the sketch or theme challenge but I guess the point of a challenge is to push ourselves.  Here are the colours  Daffodil Delight, Smoky Slate and Basic Grey.

This is what I came up with using the cute little VW Bug from Beautiful Ride Stamp set. I have coloured the image using a Blender Pen on White Shimmer paper.

I love with this set that you can build on the image, I added a surfboard and stack of suitcases on top.  The greetings are also great, I used “The journey begins” on the front and “Life is a beautiful ride” + “No road is too long when you have good company” this card is going to a friend from has just retired to travel with his wife.

Here you can see I have stamped the card twice, the wheels are direct to the main layer and the second image has been cut to omit the wheels and raised with foam mount. The added images were also fussy cut and attached with foam mount but not stamped direct to the layer.

Great card Teneale – I made one quite similar by accident, but I like yours better! 🙂 x

What a sweet card – love the fussy cutting that has added dimension – I never think of things like that! The colouring is fantastic. I can just see this little “beetle” driving along the back roads!

Love the idea of this yellow buggy making it’s way to the beach. Every card you come up with has me thinking, “why didn’t I think of that?” I just love your work.
