Normally I am busting to get cracking on creating Christmas cards, June or July is normally “go” time for me; this year I just have not been feeling it and up to last week I had been avoiding making Christmas cards, until the wonderful peeps at Stampin’ Up! released the 2017 Holiday Catalogue! Oh my goodness, they have outdone themselves this year. Demonstrators are able to preorder in August and customers can order from September, I was so excited to get my hands on some of the new products I was awake at 2:45am for ordering to open at 3am on the 1st August and then that painful wait for the big brown box to arrive filled with creative goodness! I hope you can feel the excitement that is spraying off me as I speak type. I could not wait to start playing with me new toys stamps.
I should put my excitement on hold to talk about the real reason for the blog post, the INKspired blog hop. You can already be on the hop and arrived here from Barbara or if this is your first stop let me catch you up, the players are made up of members in my Stampin’ Up! team and we come together every second Sunday to share our cards based on a sketch I design. At the end of the post make sure you hop around to all the players. Here is the sketch for this blog:
No surprise that I have gone Christmas after my opening comments. This Nutcracker image is from a new stamp set called Sugarplum Dreams, the first ballet I ever saw was the Nutcracker at a local theatre as a child and I was enthralled. I have gone very vintage but I am loving this card! I don’t say that often, trust me. The colours I have used is Real Red, Garden Green, Crumb Cake and Crushed Curry with hints of embossed gold. Another new product coming in September is the embossing folder and Music note printed paper that I have used in the top corner and as you will see later in the post for the envelope.
Thank you for stopping by the next stop on the INKspired blog hop is little sweetheart Renee Lynch
