I have been called many things in my life but recently a team member called me the mother goose of our little Stampin’ Up! team, at first, I worried if it was a good thing or not, when she explained her thinking it made sense. So this mother Goose is happy that another member has joined INKspired Artist fold, please welcome Julie Martin to our blog hops, she has a huge heart and very talented, you may have just arrived from her blog if you are already on the blog hop.
Here is the sketch for this round, I have seen a few of the cards already and they are GOOD! A perk of the job I guess, getting the sneak peeks.
Here is my creation using the sketch, I changed a few little things around and as much as I wanted to add a little stitching detail which is in the sketch, my sewing machine had different ideas (it is heading in for a service after that). Over all I am really happy with the card, I was not sure about which colours to use, I was leaning towards colouring all the hats and coats in different colours but I decided to stick with Balmy Blue and Crumb Cake.
This card was made for a team member, who has big goals and I am so excited for her to achieve them. This greeting from Strong & Beautiful Cling Stamp Set is perfect “Keep reaching for your dreams, I will keep cheering you on!” I placed the mother goose tracking behind to symbolise me being the mother goose not far behind to support and help is needed. That is one of the parts of being a leader within Stampin’ Up! I so enjoy… besides the stamping.
All the layers. Starting at the back I have embossed Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper using the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, then I have a layer of Balmy Blue A4 Cardstock embossed with the Pinewood Planks Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and over the top of that, I wiped Whisper White Craft ink to highlight the wood grain. Add a layer of vellum cut using a scallop die from Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies and finally the top stamped layer.
Inside the card, I have stamped the goose image and coloured it to match the front. I have stamped “You can do hard things” which is from Sunny Days Stamp Set I use this stamp often.
Next please hope over to Kozue, our West Australian team member
Teneale, I tots Love this cute little card. Stunning.
So cute. Sorry about your sewing machine. The scallop was the perfect substitute. Loved the sentiments.
