I am so excited that the INKspired blog hop has two new Artists joining us, please welcome Katrina Healy and Teresa Irwin. For this round, we have a colour combo to work with of Crushed Curry, Rich Razzleberry, Mossy Meadow and/or Basic Gray. Our colour challenge is a little different to others as we have the option to use all or a few of the colours and we can add in Whisper White, Very Vanilla or Basic Black.
I used Rich Razzleberry and Mossy Meadow on my card, I started by stamping this stunning image from Prized Peony Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Whisper White A4 Card Stock. I coloured the Peony using Rich Razzleberry and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends.
I wanted the background to have a little variation in tone like the flower so I used the Rich Razzleberry Blends to colour Whisper White Cardstock and embossed it with the new Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder, which I adore. Embossing folders are such a good investment in your craft stash.
I got a little creative with the backgrounds on this card, for the lower section of Mossy Meadow I watercolour the Mossy Meadow onto Shimmery White A4 Card Stock. Once it was totally dry I used a ruler and White Stampin’ Chalk marker for the diagonal lines.
I love ribbon, something you probably noticed with all the wooden ribbon spools in the background of my photos but I don’t use that much on my cards at the moment! It kills me to say that, but it is just not my style at the moment. I love Linen Thread, like really love it but I sometimes the kraft tone does not work. So I have been colouring the Linen Thread with my Stampin’ Blends, it seems to work best with darker colours. In this card, I used the Dark Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blend to colour the thread.
The next stop on the INKspired blog hop is Sharon Arklay
