Earlier in the week I wrote about how my style has changed and it is more on the simple style and now I share a card that has layer on layer. I just make myself laugh, the card was based on a sketch for the INKspired challenge that you can see below and it does have many layers.
This marks my first Christmas card for the year, I normally start around July so I guess I am a little behind the ball. Living in Syndey which is in tight lockdowns, I need to make the most of the time at home to get crafting.
We have a new mini catalogue which features Christmas products, I have used the new Peaceful Deer stamp set and punch as the feature image, I always love reindeers on my Christmas cards and this was one the the first bundles I ordered for the mini catalogue.
Gingerbread & Peppermint printed papers is the range I used, it is just so festive in Real Red, Old Olive, Crumb Cake and Whisper White. If you notice the sweet strip of scallop, I fussy cut it from one of the Gingerbread & Peppermint sheets.
I am a big fan of embossing folders as they add such detail to your cards, I have to confess I was not that interested in this Timber embossing folder knowing I have a few retired wood grain design embossing folders. I say it used on a few cards and I noticed it was different and so much better than other designs. Check out the detail:
For a very long time I have finished my cards with inside designs, taking elemnets from the front and using them inside.
Peaceful Deer Photopolymer Stamp Set has a few different reindeer designs and trees.
This has to be the highlight of the hop as the next player is my amazing mum, she has not blogged since last year!
I am so happy to have her getting back to normal. Check out Stampin’ Barb
