Inkspirations Colour Challenge 22

May 14, 2010

echoes-of-friendship-line.jpg

Yay….it’s finally Friday! The end of week and Inkspiration challenge time, it’s a colour challenge this week of Sage Shadow, Basic Grey, Apricot Appeal and Whisper White….. great colours but I have never used them together and I must say when I got the colours I was like WHAT? but they do work well together.

I am going to be quick, I have crawled out of bed to go to the doctors and post this card, I have totally lost my voice and feel like I have been hit in the head…. I need to get better by next week for Stampin’ Up! Convention, at least I have all my swapped made, I am almost packed and pretty much ready to go however I have a bit of work to knock over before Thursday…. But I am SO excited…..

I am pretty happy with this card, I really like the flowers which I have watercoloured with an Aqua Painter, cut out and then glittered, I think they look really effective. For the background I used Tres Chic, which I inked parts of in VersaMark and clear embossed. The Friends stamps is actually from the Friendship jumbo wheel that I chopped up and it is now a great sentiment stamp set. I am learning to embraces the “rip” as Debbie Crouse from 7Gypsies told me to start doing after our class last weekend, I like the rip detail on one side of the flower panel.

Like always….a pretty inside…..

This one is, as always, all of the above and I will take free to CASE it sometime soon, you can be sure! Hope you feel better real soon and have a fantasmagorical time at Convention. Cheers!

This card looks simply elegant. But I know you spent a bit of time on it, just cutting out those flowers. It is so worth it. Hope you are bouncing by the time convention comes. If we sent a swap with someone who was going to convention would you swap with us? Cheeky question huh?
