I am just wondering with 67 days until Christmas do you think it is too early to pull out Christmas music? I have already started my Christmas shopping and [blush] even started buying more new Christmas decorations, I may have given a little squeal with excitement while in Kmart a few days ago when I spotted all the Christmas Decorations. I was shopping with my Mum, and she was the voice of reason I needed to control myself. I simply can not find my love for Christmas, everything is just better in December. You may have noticed I started making my cards in like August, and I still need lots more! That means I better get busy making, and you had better prepare yourself for more Christmas cards from me.
No surprise I am sure, but I have created another Christmas card, this creation is based on the following sketch that I designed for the INKspired blog hop, a small group of my Stampin’ Up! team that come together to all create a card based on the same sketch. We have ten players this round; you may already be on the blog hop if you arrived from Barbara Williams aka my Mum.
I will openly admit I do not always like cards that I create, surely I am not alone in being the hardest judge on myself. However, I love this card (to my surprise). Maybe it is the Mint Macaron colour I have used; I just believe Mint Macaron is the BEST Stampin’ Up! Colour and it just makes everything look incredible. It was a tricky sketch, from the time of posting the design to the team I said simply take the star as inspiration for placement of a stamped image or a die cut. I went with the reindeer image from Jolly Christmas stamp set; the stars are also part of that stamp set.
Here is inside the card, I have carried over the Cherry Cobbler DSP and gold glitter strip from the front of the card, as to the Mint Macaron stars around the greeting stamped from Lots of Joy stamp set.
That is all I have for you; however, the fun is not over! The next stamp on the INKspired blog hop is talented and sweet Lissa Carter.
delish colors!
I love this! You should be happy with this it’s absolutely amazing!
Oh I love it too Teneale!! Such a simple yet truly stunning card!! I admire every week your talent to be able to create such a truly beautiful card while keeping it so clean and elegant. ??
That reindeer is super cute, love your card. That slither of gold glimmer is beautiful and makes it all come together.xx
I agree, everything is better in December! Every year I want new decorations and I’ll fight the urge not to go to Kmart. My advice is don’t go to Ikea….they have some lovely things and I didn’t, just didn’t (cough, cough) buy the red polka-dot wrapping paper and some of the beautiful decorations…..despite my urge (cough, cough again!!) 😉
I also agree that this card is beautiful and yes you are your own worst critic. Everything you touch turns into pure magic. The reindeer is fussy-cut to perfection and I love the little hint of glimmer, stunning as always. xo
awesome yet so different christmas card.
Wow Teneale Super Awesome as always. I love everything about this card. Beautiful colours, the softness and the attention to detail. Definitely casing this one! PS – Super excited to have won this one!!!! Thanks xx
I love this card! I have to ask, how did you cut out that deer? Do you use a silhouette?
I stamped the image and then fussy cut it out. I love cutting but if I had a die, I would make more of this card.
Beautiful card ! Love it!
This is gorgeous! I play Christmas music whenever I’m working on holiday cards or projects. Doesn’t matter what time of year it is. 🙂
