My name is Teneale, and I am a hoarder of “pretty paper” I know that some of you reading this suffer the same hoarding problem I do! The issue I have is that I buy printed paper then “save” it to use for a special card….. which never seems to come around. In January, I discovered the true volume of spoken hoarding! Finding several containers filled with 14+ years of hoarding, upon review of the paper collection, I have no idea why I saved many of designs. My nieces and their school have subsequently had a top up of their craft supplies and I have vowed to not get to that point again, I am going to USE and no longer save.
This mission will be put into action, starting now with my card for the INKspired blog hop. Well, I had a little problem getting access to my blog yesterday for the blog hop itself but my card was made so I thought I would still share. See below for the sketch the team was using, you can jump on the blog hop from Barbara Williams HERE.
This sketch is kind of perfect for using up showcasing printed paper, I will admit that the paper I have used is in fact not old but it is totally a design I would normally save. I LOVE the watercoloured ice cream cones, I played around with the a few different designs from the same paper collection but the just did not “work” for me, so I have watercoloured the Brushing Bride “Happy Birthday” strip and the Mint Macaron layer.
I HAD to but “Party with Cake” stamp set for just this greeting Calories don’t count today!
It is just perfect for a light-hearted birthday card, I know just the person who will be getting the ice cream card as she LOVES ice cream. The balloons are from my newest stamp purchase called “Balloon Builders”

Such a sweet card!
This is just adorable! Love how you used up the DSP. It’s so hard to do! Thank you for a great layout. I like how you spruced up the inside, too.
You are not alone. I too had the “pretty paper” problem, and also wound up donating stacks of it, with a bit more to go. Glad I have company in this.
Beautiful Teneale. Love the paper.
Simply stunning as always. Your attention to detail is what I love about everything to create! Love Love Love! xx
Yep, that’s me! I’m pretty good with paper stacks and packs, as you usually get more than one of each pattern, but I have bought lots of single sheets that I get out and look at often 🙂 I’ve tried to make more permanent things like book marks and have covered the wooden knobs on a bedside table so I get to enjoy the paper for longer.
This is so gorgeous. Simple and sweet.
