Welcome. You have arrived just in time for a new INKspired blog hop, you may have arrived from Barbara Williams which means you are already on the “hop”. If this is your first stop, I will catch you up; We have 5 stops and all showcasing a card created inspired by the below sketch:
As you scroll down a little more you will see my panels are a little larger than the sketch but it is a known fact, I always change the sketch up a little 🙂 This time, it was not planned. The flower image from Butterfly Basics is a little larger than I thought and when I had stamped and coloured the flowers I realised the size as I went to cut the image for the panels. I had spent so long watercolouring, I was not going to start again….
I am on the designer team at Global Design Project and this week when I was checking out the players gallery, I spotted this one (HERE) from Jennifer Michalski . I was taken with how she stamped her main image on Smoky Slate, here I would normally go straight for Very Vanilla or Whisper White cardstock. I commented on her blog, I was going to use that idea and well, I did; On the next card I made. I have stamped straight onto Crumb Cake cardstock with Basic Black ink and watercoloured with Wisteria Wonder and Mint Macaron.
I can’t give too many of my secrets away about this card as my class ladies will be making this month. I can say that the texture was achieved by stamping the woodgrain image from Timeless Textures stamp set in VersaMark.
I may not always show the inside of the card but I do always stamp the inside of my cards. Here I have stamped the flower image and applied a small amount of the woodgrain image.
Next blog to visit is our sweet new mum of the group, Renee Lynch.

Teneale, this card turned out so wonderful! I had to do a double take to make sure you did in fact stamp on card stock and not wooden pieces. Just lovely!
