The INKspired team is doing our blog hops again, this is the first in 2020! Our end of year break was a little longer than normal but after making my card I just commented it is good to be back. We are kicking off with a colour challenge, which is always my least favourite challenges.
We had Highland Heather, Pool Party, So Saffron and/or Basic Gray, with our challenge you can decide if you use all the colours or just a few.
I just note we also can add White, Vanilla and Black. For the first time, I have used all the colours to make this super cute card that is already on it’s way to a fabulous friend who is celebrating her 40th birthday in a week. I wanted a really fun card to mark this milestone birthday!
Seeing that I was mailing the card I should have thought about the layers while I was making the card as it was thick when it went in the envelope but I cut out the koalas body, head and balloons to add a little dimension.
I really wanted some printed paper for a little strip that brought all the colours together but I had nothing so I got creative with the stamps in Bonanza Buddies stamp set, I stamped one the present stamps in Highland Heather, Pool Party and So Saffron on Whisper White Card Stock chopped them up to make a strip of my own DSP which I embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder to add texture.
Inside the card, I stamped a stack of gifts, a second koala and a greeting.
The next stop on the INKspired blog hop is…
my wonderful friend Narelle Macey
